Chapter 6
"RISE AND SHINE SLEEPING BEAUTY!!!"
Taylor jolted awake with a sharp gasp, her eyes snapping open as the booming voice rattled her very bones.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" she shrieked, nearly rolling off her bed.
She was met with the sight of Sukuna standing by her bedside, grinning ear to ear. He held an old-fashioned megaphone microphone in one hand, the static still crackling ominously from it.
"Wonderful! You're awake!" he beamed, seemingly unbothered by the pillow Taylor promptly threw at his head.
"Why are you like this?" she groaned when she noticed the sun wasn't even up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes.
The previous day's events come back to her, despite her wanting it to be nothing but a bad dream.
"Punctuality is key in making the most of your day! And considering we have such exciting plans ahead, I couldn't allow you to laze about!" he declared dramatically, tossing aside the microphone which promptly turned back into the shadows.
Taylor gave him a deadpan stare before finally registering the other people in her room. Homelander leaned against the wall, arms crossed, looking completely unbothered by the loud wake-up call.
Izuku sat near her desk, flipping through his ever-present notebook, while Alastor—
She turned her head and instantly recoiled.
He was lying right next to her bed, chin resting in his palm, watching her with the laziest smirk she had ever seen.
"Morning," he drawled, voice laced with amusement.
Taylor nearly threw herself backward in sheer reflex. "W-What the hell?! Get out of my bed!"
Sukuna only laughed as he leaned back, stretching his arms over his head. "Relax, he was just admiring how pathetically you drool in your sleep."
Taylor's face burned red with anger/embarrassment. "I don't drool!"
Alastor chuckled under his breath, amused by her outrage. "He's not lying."
Taylor groaned and covered her face with her hands. "…I hate both of you."
Izuku, ever the peacekeeper, cleared his throat. "U-Um, we have things to do today, so maybe we should focus?"
Taylor let out a long breath before nodding. "Right, we were going to figure out how my power works."
Izuku perked up immediately, flipping to a blank page in his notebook. "Yup! We know that you can summon people, but we don't know if you can summon more. And then there's the issue of the range restriction—"
"And how to break it," Homelander added, his expression serious.
Taylor frowned, getting out of bed and getting her brush to smoothen out her frazzled hair. "How are we even going to do that?"
Izuku flipped back to another page in his book, one filled with writing. "I actually have a few ideas about that!"
Walking up next to him, Taylor looked over his shoulder to look at his notebook, her eyes widening at what she saw.
Taylor stared in awe at the pages upon pages of notes and diagrams spread across Izuku's notebook. His handwriting was small and neat, filling every available space with observations, hypotheses, and potential experiments.
It made her own notebooks look lame in comparison.
"You came up with all this last night?" she asked incredulously.
Izuku rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd try to figure some things out. It's mostly just theories right now, but I think it's a good starting point."
Taylor scanned over some of his ideas like trying to summon different numbers of people, seeing if she could choose specific individuals, and testing the absolute limit of their range restriction. It was methodical and thorough in a way that made her head spin a little.
"This is... really impressive," she admitted. "I don't think I would have even known where to start."
"That's why you've got us, princess," Sukuna smirked, ignoring her glare at the nickname. "Between the five of us, we'll crack this mystery wide open and by then the leash will be a thing of the past!"
John nodded, taking Izuku's notes to get a better view. "I really don't like being on a leash."
Alastor smiled, also taking the chance to take a look. "Personally, I love being attached to our little summoner here."
Taylor scowled, thinking his words were full of lies. "No, you don't."
Alastor chuckled. "Maybe. But if we're stuck with each other, we might as well make it fun."
Taylor pinched the bridge of her nose, now finished straightening out her hair. "Right! So, testing. But where do we test this?"
Sukuna perked up, his grin widening. "I know the perfect place! Have you heard of Fugly Bob's?"
Taylor eyed him warily; she could practically feel her allowance already drying up. "…You're a glutton, you know that?"
"YUP!" he admitted cheerfully.
Izuku hummed in thought. "Do you know somewhere that's abandoned? Somewhere that has less chance of us running into people or causing a scene."
Sukuna smirked, crossing his arms together. "What, you don't want to cause a scene? Where's the fun in that?"
Taylor sighed, absently grabbing a towel.
"Look, we'll figure it out later. But first, let me get ready, then breakfast, and then…" she hesitated before firming her resolve and taking a step out of her room, Izuku being the only one to notice. "We test my power."
"N-No Wait!" He tried to stop her, but it was too late.
Taylor took two steps out of the bedroom door before she felt the familiar tug and heard the resounding thud behind her.
She winced, turning around to see all four of her summoned companions sprawled on the floor in a tangled heap just outside her room.
Again.
Sukuna growled from the bottom of the pile, his face smooshed against the carpet.
"Why does this keep happening to me?!"
John sighed as he floated up off the pile, casually dusting off his suit.
"You'd think we'd learn after the first time."
Izuku groaned as he sat up, rubbing his head. "S-Sorry Taylor, I tried to tell you..."
Alastor simply chuckled as he stepped out of the shadowy mass, straightening his bow tie.
"Well, that certainly woke me up! Nothing like a bit of slapstick comedy to start the day, eh?"
Taylor couldn't help the giggle that escaped her at the sight of them. It was just so ridiculous, these powerful beings were reduced to a pile on the floor because of her.
"I'm so sorry," she tried to apologize through her laughter. "I completely forgot."
Sukuna glared up at her as he pulled Izuku off him. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. Just wait until you're in the pile!"
————
After the round of accidental-leash-yanking-induced-dogpile, Taylor and her four companions finally managed to step out of the house without further incident.
Well, relatively speaking.
Sukuna had tried to convince her to detour to Fugly Bob's again like a child, Homelander kept grumbling about how the voices were going to drive him crazy if they don't find a way to break the leash soon, and Alastor was being himself...
Izuku was the only one who wasn't causing her any trouble, simply jotting things down in his notebook.
Taylor sighed, tugging her hoodie tighter around herself as she walked ahead of the group.
She could already feel people staring.
How could they not?
Four incredibly distinct and the most obvious cape individuals of all time were just casually strolling through Brockton Bay with her, completely unfazed by the attention they were drawing.
Sukuna, with his cocky smirk and very noticeable tattoos, was walking with his hands in his pockets, occasionally flashing an unsettling grin at anyone who dared to meet his gaze.
Homelander was floating beside Taylor, perfectly composed but radiating an undeniable presence, his blue eyes scanning the area like a watchful protector.
Alastor, being a literal seven-foot-tall demon dressed in almost all red, was the most eye-catching with his ever-present grin making passersby instinctively shuffle away.
Izuku, at least, looked relatively normal… if you ignored the intense way he scribbled in his notebook while mumbling to himself a mile a minute about "dimensional summoning parameters."
Unsurprisingly, people noticed.
"Dude, that tattoo guy just grinned at me, and I think my soul left my body."
"What's up with the guy in green?"
"…Don't look at them, just keep walking sweetie."
"Are they bodyguards or something? Who's the girl?"
"I-I think I've seen her on PHO!"
Taylor did her best to ignore the attention, but it was difficult when her group was anything but subtle.
She could already feel people snapping pictures with their phones.
She groaned. "Guys, could you at least pretend to be normal?"
John chuckled, glancing at his fellow capes. "Define normal."
Alastor twirled his cane. "Why, my dear, we are simply enjoying a lovely stroll through town! How much more normal can one get?"
Sukuna scoffed before smirking smugly at her. "I don't do normal."
Izuku, at least, looked mildly guilty. "S-Sorry! I was just really focused on my notes. But I guess we are standing out a little bit…"
Taylor smiled at him before glaring at the rest of them. "You're not the problem here."
"…Oh."
A group of Brockton Bay locals huddled outside a coffee shop, openly staring.
"Okay, but what the actual hell am I looking at?" A man muttered, gripping his coffee cup in fear.
His friend nudged him. "That red guy? Definitely a demon."
A teenage girl holding a bubble tea practically vibrated in excitement. "Oh my god, is this a Thinker trick? A cape team debut? Is that the Wards?!"
An older woman just sighed and took a sip of her coffee. "Just another day in Brockton Bay."
Taylor sped up her pace, desperate to get away from the gawking bystanders.
"We need to find a place to test my power fast before this turns into a full-blown incident."
Sukuna smirked, completely unbothered by the attention. "Relax, princess. No one's gonna try anything."
Taylor groaned. "You keep calling me that, and I will figure out how to unsummon you."
"Ha! You wish you had that kind of control."
Izuku cleared his throat, eager to change the subject. "What about the docks? The closer we get to the industrial district, the fewer people we'll run into."
Homelander nodded. "Makes sense. Let's go."
They turned down a quieter street, the cityscape shifting as they moved away from the more crowded areas.
But even as they left, Taylor could hear someone in the distance shouting,
"HEY, SOMEONE POST THIS ON PHO!"
She groaned. "I'm gonna be so screwed."
She was not looking forward to talking to her dad about why she was everywhere on the internet.
As Taylor and her four capes made their way towards the docks, the stares and whispers only intensified. People openly gawked, snapped pictures, and speculated amongst themselves about the strange group.
Taylor tried to keep her head down, but it was hard to ignore the way everyone seemed to part around them like they were celebrities... or threats.
When they finally reached the more deserted industrial area, Taylor let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. The warehouses loomed around them, offering a reprieve from prying eyes.
"Okay," she said, turning to face her companions. "This should work. What's first?"
Izuku flipped open his notebook. "I think we should start with the basics. Can you summon more people? Is there a limit?"
Taylor bit her lip. "I don't know, I didn't even know I could summon you guys until it happened."
Homelander nodded in understanding.
"Try focusing on that feeling, the one you had when you first called us. See if you can replicate it."
Sukuna and Alastor were off to the side, one was laid down on an empty crate cloud-watching while the other was simply watching.
Taylor took a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to remember the moment she had triggered. The fear, the desperation, the overwhelming need for someone, anyone, to help her...
Booting Up System…
"Whoa!" She gasped out in fear and surprise.
Taylor staggered back, eyes wide as a glowing blue screen suddenly materialized in front of her. It pulsed and shimmered, etched with strange symbols and patterns that seemed to shift and change before her eyes.
Homelander, Izuku, Sukuna, and Alastor instantly closed ranks around her, their postures tense and ready for a fight.
If someone unfortunate enough were to show up at that very moment, they would receive an ass beating of a lifetime.
"Taylor?" Izuku asked, his voice laced with concern. "What's happening?"
"I-I don't know!" She stammered, staring at the ethereal screen. "A screen appeared in front of me when I tried to focus on my power!"
John tilted his head, finding nothing near her. "I don't see anything."
Sukuna scoffed, but his eyes were keen as he scanned the area for potential threats. "Yeah, no shit."
"Can't believe she has a fucking system of all things." The sorcerer murmured to himself but everyone who had super senses would be able to hear it…
…Which was everyone in their group, besides Taylor.
Izuku got closer to her, his eyes trying to see what she saw. "It must be connected to your power somehow. Like a control panel, maybe?"
Taylor swallowed hard, her hand trembling slightly as she reached out to touch the shimmering surface. The moment her fingers brushed against it, the screen rippled and changed, new symbols and options appearing.
BOND LEVEL…
HOMELANDER / JOHN: 25/150
RYOMEN SUKUNA/ KING OF CURSES: 25/150
ALASTOR / RADIO OVERLORD: 25/150
MIDORIYA IZUKU / DEKU: 35/150
Bond Level…?
Taylor stared at the screen in awe and confusion. "Bond level? What does that even mean?"
She squinted at the numbers, trying to make sense of them. Izuku had a slightly higher bond level than the others. Was that because he had been the kindest to her so far? Did their actions directly impact this?
Izuku leaned in closer, his curiosity piqued. "It must be a measurement of some kind. Maybe it represents the strength of your connection to each of us. Can you tell us what you see? We can't exactly see and you do."
"Y-Yeah of course!"
She described the screen as best as she could, while they listened intently.
Sukuna snorted, crossing his arms over his chest. "Ha! Only 25? I should be at least 100."
Alastor chuckled, his red eyes gleaming with amusement.
"My, my, it seems our dear summoner has taken quite a liking to young Izuku here. A bond level of thirty-five is nothing to scoff at!"
Izuku's face flushed a bright red at the demon's words, and he quickly ducked his head to hide his embarrassment.
Sukuna leaned in, squinting at the smaller boy with a teasing smile.
"Huh, looks like Izuku's ahead of the rest of us. Does someone have a crush~?"
Izuku flushed bright red, sputtering. "W-What? No! I don't know why-"
The blonde hero clapped a reassuring hand on his shoulder, chuckling. "Relax kid, he's just messing with you."
Taylor, too, felt her cheeks heating up, but she tried to push aside the implication of Alastor's teasing.
There were more pressing matters at hand.
"Try tapping on one of our names," John asked her, after taking a moment to think.
She reached out hesitantly and tapped on Izuku's name. Instantly, a new screen popped up, displaying a dizzying array of information.

Taylor's jaw dropped at the new load of information.
"Izuku, it... it has information about you. Your abilities, where you came from..."
Izuku leaned in closer, eyes wide with curiosity and a hint of trepidation. "What does it say about me?"
"It says you come from... My Hero Academia? Does that mean anything to you?"
The sorcerer and blonde hero twitched, but only Alastor seemed to notice.
The future hero of hope frowned, shaking his head. "No, I've never heard of that before."
Taylor bit her lip, her mind racing. This system seemed to know things about her companions that even they didn't know.
It was both fascinating and unnerving.
Not to mention power-sharing… the thought alone sent shivers of excitement down her back.
She backed out of Izuku's information screen and tapped on Sukuna's name.
As soon as Taylor tapped on Sukuna's name, another screen materialized before her, glowing ominously as if reacting to the presence of the King of Curses himself.
RYOMEN SUKUNA / KING OF CURSES

She glanced up at Sukuna, who was watching her with amusement.
"What? Learn something interesting, princess?" he asked with a smirk.
"First off, stop calling me that. And second…" She hesitated, debating whether or not to share the details. She wasn't sure if revealing too much was a good idea. "It says you're the king of curse… and a sorcerer?"
Alastor's ever-present grin widened. "Oh my, 'King of Curses' sounds delightfully ominous! What an exotic title you hold, oh king~"
Sukuna scoffed but didn't deny it, clearly pleased with the recognition.
Taylor, meanwhile, was still caught on the term Jujutsu Kaisen—was that the name of the world he came from? Did she have a way to find out?
She swallowed her questions and backed out of Sukuna's information screen before clicking on Homelander's name.
The glowing interface shifted once more.
HOMELANDER / JOHN

Taylor felt an uneasy weight settle in her gut.
She glanced at Homelander, who waiting for her to tell him what she saw.
"Antihero, huh?" he muttered, his voice full of amusement.
Taylor hesitated. "…Does that bother you?"
He was quiet for a long moment, then shrugged. "Just didn't expect your system to have an opinion."
Taylor quickly moved on before Homelander could dwell on it further.
She tapped on Alastor's name, who was patiently waiting for his turn.
And what she found left her in shock.
ALASTOR (THE RADIO DEMON)

POWER SHARING: LOCKED UNTIL BOND REACHES LEVEL 50
ABILITIES:
-Minor Reality Warping

-???
"Reality warping?" Taylor's voice wavered slightly, quickly realizing just how outclassed she was compared to the four of them.
And what the hell was up with the three question marks?!
"Oh, my dear, that is but a fraction of my talents," Alastor said cheerfully.
"But I must say, what a charming way to be summarized! 'Overlord of Hell' has such a grand ring to it, don't you think?"
Taylor stared at the screen, barely suppressing a shudder. She had really summoned some of the most terrifying people imaginable, hadn't she?
She took a step closer to Izuku.
She finally returned to the main system screen and noticed a blinking notification at the bottom.
[NEW SYSTEM FUNCTION UNLOCKED!]
Summoner's Authority has increased. Additional Features Available.
A new option appeared beneath the bond levels.
[SUMMONER PERKS]
Curious, Taylor tapped on it, revealing a new set of options.
SUMMONER PERKS
As your bond with your summons grows, additional perks and abilities will be unlocked!
Current Unlocks:
• Basic Summoning (Can summon up to 4 entities from other realities)
• Bond Visibility (Can track the strength of bonds with summoned individuals)
• NEW! Reinforcement (Temporarily enhance the abilities of a summoned individual for a short period. Duration: 10 minutes. Cooldown: 24 hours.)
"Whoa," Taylor breathed in disbelief.
She could make them stronger!?!?
Weren't they already strong enough?!
"I-I can make you guys stronger, b-but it's only temporary."
Izuku leaned forward excitedly, his pencil a blur as he wrote in his notebook.
"That's amazing! You can actually do that!? That could be a game-changer!"
Sukuna grinned. "I guess you do more than just stand there and look pretty, eh?"
The glare she sent him was fabulous.
Alastor chuckled at them along with John.
"This could be useful," The blonde hero mused, thinking deeply about something only he seemed to know.
Taylor, meanwhile, was still absorbing all of this. Not only did she have powers, but it was evolving the more she interacted with her summons.
That meant there was still so much more to uncover.
She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "Okay, that seems to be everything. Let's figure out exactly what this system can do."
Izuku happily smiled, flipping to a fresh page in his notebook. "I've got a lot of tests in min-"
VROOOMMMMM
The low rumble of a motorcycle echoed through the otherwise quiet industrial area, growing louder as it approached.
Taylor and her group turned towards the source of the noise, tense and alert.
The bike came to a stop a short distance away, and its rider—a woman clad in a dark green and black outfit, with a red, white, and blue bandana covering the lower half of her face, swung her leg over and stepped forward with calm confidence.
It was Miss Militia.
Taylor swallowed hard.
Of all the people she expected to show up, one of Brockton Bay's most well-respected heroes was not on the list.
The others reacted in varying degrees of suspicion and curiosity.
Homelander immediately straightened up, his sharp blue eyes narrowing, ready for a confrontation.
Sukuna smirked, but his body language suggested he was more interested in how things would play out rather than preparing for a fight.
Alastor's ever-present grin remained as he tilted his head, amused by the newcomer.
Izuku, meanwhile, stiffened but also seemed intrigued, another notebook already halfway open.
"Taylor Hebert," Miss Militia greeted evenly, her eyes flickering over the assembled group before settling on her. "I was hoping we could have a conversation."
Taylor's throat went dry. Oh god, she was in trouble.
She still remembered the utter humiliation her capes did to the PRT, especially to Armsmaster.
"I—uh—" she started, but before she could get another word out, Sukuna snorted and leaned lazily against a rusted metal container.
"Well, well, well. And who's this?" he drawled, eyes gleaming with amusement. "You some kind of authority figure?"
Miss Militia gave him a measured look. "You could say that."
"Ugh, boring," he muttered but didn't make a move to interfere.
Taylor, scrambling to keep things from escalating, quickly stepped forward.
"Um, Miss Militia, what… what exactly do you want to talk about?" She tried to keep her voice steady, but she had no idea how this was going to go.
She really did not want what happened to Armsmaster to happen to Miss Militia.
Miss Militia gave her a small nod, a gesture that wasn't hostile.
"You've attracted a lot of attention in a very short time coming here. The PRT has taken notice."
Taylor winced, of course they have, with all of the people recording them how could they not?
"I'd like to invite you to the PRT," Miss Militia continued.
"Not as a recruitment effort, at least, not yet, but rather to offer you a safe place to conduct tests on your powers. Public testing can be dangerous, for you and those around you."
Taylor hesitated. That… was not what she expected. "You want to help me figure out my powers?"
"Yes," Miss Militia confirmed. "I believe it would be beneficial for both you and the city if we had a clearer understanding of where you stand. And by allowing us to do your power testing it would really help calm people down. We have facilities designed for controlled power testing, and if you're willing, we can run some evaluations in a safe environment."
Taylor frowned slightly, glancing at her companions. Homelander didn't look convinced, his arms crossed and his gaze sharp with skepticism. Izuku, on the other hand, seemed genuinely intrigued by the idea of structured power testing.
Sukuna looked bored, while Alastor merely smiled like this was the most entertaining thing he'd seen all morning.
"So… you're not trying to arrest me?" Taylor asked cautiously.
Miss Militia's expression softened slightly. "No. You haven't committed any crimes, and from what we've gathered, the PRT was the one largely at fault for our soldier's miss trigger."
Taylor exhaled. This was… way better than she expected.
She turned to her companions. "What do you guys think?"
Izuku nodded almost immediately. "It makes sense. If they have proper testing equipment, we could gather a lot more data."
Homelander, however, was less convinced.
"I don't trust them," he said bluntly.
Miss Militia didn't react to that, though Taylor thought she saw a flicker of understanding in her gaze.
Turned to Alastor and Sukuna for their opinion.
Sukuna chuckled. "Eh, do whatever you want. I don't care."
Alastor tapped his chin before shrugging.
Taylor sighed.
Still, she wasn't exactly in a position to refuse a chance to properly understand her powers. And if the PRT really did just want to test her abilities in a controlled environment, then maybe this could work out.
She met Miss Militia's gaze.
"Alright," she said finally. "I'll come with you for testing."
Plus, she felt bad for what happened and wanted to apologize to Armsmaster.
