"See the future? Did you have that OP ability the last time I saw you? I knew you were perfect not god." Talia asked, teasing yet confused.
Chase sighed. "I might as well tell you. Talia, I am a god."
Talia gave him a deadpan look. "A god, really huh? You got married and turned narcissistic. You get better-looking and start calling yourself a god." She looked at him, completely fed up with his nonsense.
Chase sighed again and held up his hand, summoning fire. Then lightning. Then ice. He cycled through various elements before casually tossing her a granola bar.
Talia caught it, stunned. "Huh?" She looked down at the snack, then back at Chase. "This doesn't make sense... My adoptive little brother is god? No, wait—my mom helped raise a god? Are you Jesus?"
Chase chuckled, shaking his head. "Greek. My real mother is Aphrodite."
Talia stared at him, stunned. "Greek gods are real?"
Chase nodded. "Yeah, yeah, get used to it geek."
