Alice saw Athena and was stunned before immediately approving her as Vice President. "Shouldn't you be getting used to your new husband and newly wed wives?" Alice asked, raising an eyebrow.
Athena smiled softly. "I believe my husband enjoys being mortal, and I must have an important future ahead of me. Besides, I love learning, trying new things, and being in positions of power. Also, what about you and my sister-in-law? Aren't you two married?"
Alice shook her head. "She's my girlfriend, though I do love her a lot. Proposing is too hard, and I don't know how to approach the topic. But it's the same for me—I don't want to disappoint my family. Besides, I'm used to handling this much work, so it's not too much for me," she said proudly.
Athena tilted her head in confusion. "Do mortals marry differently? Chase didn't propose; he just took me as his wife."
