The candles flickered lightly, illuminating the dark hallway; the supposed door to Cedric's room was open. A familiar voice Abrielle recognized as Callista's echoing. She seemed to be concerned about Cedric who decided on skipping out on the festivities.
"I am not in the mood to listen to any two-faced noble for now." His voice answered; light footsteps followed, and soon Callista's image emerged from the door.
"Does this have anything to do with...". Callista was about to ask a question but was interrupted by Cedric's groaning sound. She was facing the door and Abrielle could guess Cedric was standing at the entrance.
"I need to rest, work has been piling up lately." He answered and the Priestess finally relented. "Try to have a good night's rest; I will send some herbal tea later to help with the stress." She suggested acting like the sweet Callista who was just filled with so much sweetness.
