Abrielle held the glass with both hands, her reflection flickering on the water's surface. She cleared her throat avoiding his gaze that was still heated.
"Your return journey was early. It is safe to assume you left without my parents' awareness." She started, and he understood that she was concerned about her parents.
"I had to leave in a hurry, but I did leave a message for them, which hopefully will get to your parents," Cedric explained. Abrielle nodded, taking a sip from the glass.
"They will be worried that you left abruptly," Abrielle mentioned, dropping the glass. "Yes, maybe so. I didn't have a choice but to hurry back. It felt as if I had taken longer, things would have gotten worse, and I would have walked into a scene of you being bedded by Alfonso." Cedric genuinely answered.
