In the dead of night, when all the servants were busy cleaning the Valor home, Cassandra snuck down to the kitchen to grab a knife.
She had waited for the church to make its move to get rid of all the vampires in town, but it was taking too long. She sent the church her plans to kill Gabriel in hopes that they would come to their senses and join her in killing the vampires.
Whether they came tonight or not did not matter to Cassandra. It was long overdue that Gabriel died.
Now that Gabriel was leading the town guards, Cassandra thought she had every right to kill him so he would be out of the church's path. Then she could be the lady of this house which was promised to her for all her hard work.
Cassandra stared at the butcher knife, which was all she had at the moment. Once she was done here, Cassandra intended to go to Bryce next.
