THE BLUE office remains silent after my heartfelt confession and Chloe's little joke. Iris is covering her face, too embarrassed to look at either of us. I would be, too, if I were her.
I smirk at her, pride fueling up my entire body at her reaction.
"You're so..." she falters, letting out a sigh as she struggles to let go of her face. The faux white flowers behind her are somewhat adding to her innocent persona, paired with her clean white loose sweater that I mistook for a blouse this morning and nude pants.
If this was my first impression of her I'm sure I'd have done a double take just to make sure my eyes aren't deceiving me. Iris looks gorgeous—a goddess is sitting before me, blushing because I made a comment about her.
"So, what's it gonna be?" Chloe raises her eyebrows at Iris.
"Whatever he said," she shrugs and looks away from me.
