(Casey's POV)

"I'm bleeding!!!" I echoed Jace's words as I felt a burning pain through my thigh, when I tried to take another step, I pitched forward, staggering a little. I would have fallen to the ground but Jace caught me just in time.
"How did this happen?" Jace muttered, terrified as he held me in his arms.
I closed my eyes, trying to withstand the pain, "it must have been when I tried to get away from Ramon." I could remember when he had raised the dagger trying to stab me, but I fell instead which was why he missed me. Or I thought that he missed me. It turned out that he stabbed me in the thigh, but due to adrenaline and the excitement of the moment, I didn't even notice it.
"Holy shit!" I gasped as I grabbed Jace by the collar. "It hurts!"
"I have to get you to the hospital, right now!" Jace said. He turned to Ethan, "Find out what you can from Ramon, I'll take her to the hospital."
