Chapter 127 - Chapter 127

Si Lu noticed the awkward silence that had settled around her, and a wave of embarrassment washed over her.

No one said a word.

Si Lu felt even more helpless!

The silence only made the situation more uncomfortable.

"Ahem, um... when are we going to set off?" Si Lu coughed lightly, trying to break the tension.

"Lulu, the bamboo house is already floating on the water, and we've been on our way for a while," Song Zhan said, his expression a little complicated.

Wait, what?

The bamboo house had already been floating since they got on board. How could she not notice?

Si Lu's embarrassment deepened.

This...

What could she say now?

"Lulu, what were you thinking about? Didn't you realize the bamboo house was floating?" Bai Di teased with a smile.

His words made Si Lu blush even more.

Indeed, she had been lost in her thoughts earlier, thinking about Nance.

She had really dug herself into a hole this time!

These guys were all teasing her, enjoying her awkwardness. They all looked so innocent, but underneath their sweet exteriors, they were like sly foxes, waiting for a chance to poke fun at her.

Si Lu shot a glare at Bai Di.

He definitely did that on purpose. He could tell how embarrassed she was, yet he still had to bring it up and point out the truth.

Everyone else had been nice enough not to mention it, but he just had to make things worse!

Bai Di simply smiled, unfazed. He knew Si Lu too well. She was shy, and watching her like this was too cute to resist. Sometimes, he just couldn't help but tease her a little.

Si Lu was feeling flustered.

What should she do now?

There were so many people around. She needed to find something fun to do to lift the mood.

And it couldn't be too complicated, considering they might not all adapt to something difficult right away.

Si Lu racked her brain for ideas.

Suddenly, inspiration struck.

"Let's play Animal Battle."

"Amo, can you help me make something small?" Si Lu turned to Cheng Mo beside her, her eyes full of excitement.

Of course, she thought. Cheng Mo's wind attribute would make it easy for him to help her.

"What do you want me to make?" Cheng Mo asked, curiosity piqued.

It was the first time she had asked him to make something for her, and seeing how excited she was made him eager to know what she had in mind.

"Can you make some small wooden signs for me?" Si Lu asked.

Since there was no paper here, they could use small wooden signs instead. There were plenty of bamboo stalks outside, and one would be more than enough.

Maybe they wouldn't even need a whole bamboo stalk.

"Sure, I can do that. There's plenty of bamboo outside. We've collected quite a bit," Cheng Mo said with a smile.

"Oh, but I'll need everyone's help later. One person won't be enough. If we all work together, it'll go faster," Si Lu said, glancing around the room with a smile.

"No problem. We're just sitting around anyway. Whatever you need, we'll help you with it," Hei Yao said.

"Yeah, Lulu, just tell us what you want, and we'll do it," Bai Di added.

"Count me in. I'll help too," Song Zhan chimed in.

Nance simply nodded in agreement. The others had already said everything, so there was nothing left for him to add.

"Amo, can you cut the bamboo into small wooden signs about this size? It doesn't matter if they're a bit thin, but don't make them too flimsy," Si Lu said, gesturing with her hands to show the size she had in mind.

She wanted the signs to be a little bigger than Mahjong tiles, but not too thick, so they'd be easy to hold.

"No problem, leave it to me," Cheng Mo said fondly.

He raised his palms, and two small wind blade tornadoes formed in the air.

The tornadoes flew outside, and a nearby bamboo stalk was lifted by the wind and neatly sliced into sections.

For Cheng Mo, this was a simple task. He didn't even need to move from where he sat. With just a wave of his hand, he controlled the wind with precision, cutting the bamboo exactly as Si Lu had requested.

Si Lu watched Cheng Mo in awe. Oh my God, this was incredible!

And it seemed like Cheng Mo was showing off a little, clearly proud of himself.

"Amo, you're amazing! You can do all of that with just a flick of your hand."

"The wind attribute is such an enviable ability," Si Lu said, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

Her face glowed with a mix of wonder and delight as she looked at Cheng Mo.

"It's really not that difficult. I've gotten pretty skilled at using the wind attribute by now. It doesn't take much effort," Cheng Mo replied, smiling. He enjoyed the admiration Si Lu showed him.

It was a pity Si Lu didn't have the wind attribute, or else he could teach her some tricks.

But alas, it was impossible.

"What about us? What should we do? Didn't you say you needed our help?" Bai Di asked impatiently.

He glanced at Si Lu, feeling a pang of envy. He wanted her to look at him the same way she looked at Cheng Mo.

"Just wait a little. Once Amo finishes making the wooden signs, you can all help. Oh, and Amo, you'll need to smooth the edges a bit so they won't be rough or scratchy," Si Lu added after thinking for a moment.

Her skin was too delicate, and she knew it. She didn't want to risk cutting herself while playing. If she hurt her hands, her partners would surely stop her from participating, and she didn't want that.

"Got it. I'll take care of it," Cheng Mo said reassuringly.

Then, Si Lu thought of another problem—how could they draw animals on the wooden signs? There weren't any pens in this world of orcs.

The thought gave her a bit of a headache.

Wait, fish bones! Fish bones would work, right?

They were tough enough to carve into the wood.

"Adi, I remember you keep some fish bones with you, right? Can you bring them out later? We're going to draw animals on the wooden signs," Si Lu said excitedly.

She felt quite clever. If they didn't have pens, fish bones would do the trick!

And Cheng Mo's wind attribute could also help with carving the signs.

In this world, if you didn't have something, you just had to improvise.

"Carve something? Draw animals?" The others looked at Si Lu with confused expressions.

They didn't quite understand what she was planning. Why did she want to draw animals on the wooden signs?
