Uchiha Sasuke?
While Danzo had some awareness of Sasuke, he didn't believe Sasuke's talent could surpass Itachi's. But perhaps, after all these years, Uchiha Sasuke would grow into a terrifying shinobi.
"Hmph!"
"But with your current level of power, you're still far from defeating me!"
"Izanagi, huh?"
Suddenly, Itachi smiled.
Instantly, Danzo's expression darkened. "You actually know about that?!"
"Of course. In fact, you'll die at the hands of my younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke, in the very near future!"
"You… were killed by Sasuke!"
Hearing this, Kakashi froze. "So that's what happened… I always wondered why Danzo died so suddenly back then!"
"So it was Sasuke who did it!"
Back then? When was that?
"Uncle Kakashi, what are you talking about?"
Uncle? Kakashi blinked, glancing at Sarada beside him. He was Sasuke's teacher, so logically, Sarada shouldn't be calling him "uncle," right? But whatever. Being called "uncle" was still better than "grandpa" at least it made him seem a little younger. The thought actually made Kakashi chuckle.
"During Danzo's coup in Konoha, right after the Fifth Hokage took office."
"Konoha was in turmoil at the time. Danzo became the village's greatest threat, leading half of Konoha's shinobi to confront the village head-on. Later, his forces were defeated, and Danzo himself died. That was the end of it, but no one ever knew who actually killed Danzo!"
"To think it was Sasuke!" Sarada was stunned. The Fifth Hokage's era… that was at least several decades ago. At that time, her "Uncle Sasuke" shouldn't even have been born yet! How did that make sense?!
"Speaking of which, Sasuke back then was about your age just twelve or thirteen!"
"What?!" Chocho couldn't stay calm. Twelve or thirteen?! That would mean he had only just graduated from the Academy! And yet he was able to kill that old man up there?! Even though they hadn't seen Danzo fight yet, the way he effortlessly dodged those jutsu attacks showed his incredible reflexes. His combat ability definitely wasn't weak. And Sasuke solo-killed someone like that at twelve?! Were people from that era all monsters?!
"Wait, Uncle Kakashi! Uncle Sasuke looks like he's fifteen or sixteen at most. If he was twelve back then, that means he should be the same age as the Hokage now!"
"Exactly! They've always been the same age. Sasuke and Naruto were both my students!"
"I was their jonin instructor!" Kakashi smiled faintly as he spoke.
Chocho, Sarada, and Sumire's jaws dropped. They stared at Kakashi in shock. The Hokage's teacher?! Sasuke's teacher?! And it was this guy right in front of them?! No way, that couldn't be true! So the person who'd been explaining things to them this whole time… was actually a big deal?!
Nearby, Sakumo watched Kakashi's playful attempt to impress the kids and earn their admiration. His intentions were a little too obvious. But hearing Kakashi call Naruto his student also filled Sakumo with pride. Even if Kakashi never became Hokage himself, the fact that the Hokage was his student was something to be proud of.
"Oh, by the way, the shinobi known as the most beautiful kunoichi in the world, the 'Blossoming Sakura,' the medical ninja…"
"She's also my student. Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura they were all part of my Team 7!"
"Even Lady Sakura was your student?!" The three girls' eyes sparkled as they looked at Kakashi. Danzo dodged frantically, blocking with his own kunai, but in the blink of an eye, Itachi had already inflicted multiple wounds. Before Danzo could counter, Itachi struck Amaterasu's black flames surged forth, engulfing him. If not for Izanagi, Danzo would have died right then. Watching Danzo burn to nothingness, only to instantly revive unscathed, all the shinobi were stunned.
"That guy clearly just died… How did he come back to life?!"
But Itachi only smiled, activating his Susano'o. "Izanagi is indeed a powerful jutsu… but it's not invincible. How many chances do you have left, Danzo?"
Danzo's face darkened. He tore the bandages off his arm, revealing a grotesque limb covered in…
The new-generation shinobi froze. "Those red things on it are…"
Kakashi: "Sharingan."
Sarada was stunned. "Is he… from the Uchiha clan? Why does he have so many of our clan's eyes?!"
Kakashi wasn't sure how to explain this to Sarada. This was related to Konoha's darkest secrets best not to let these kids know.
Then, suddenly…
Kakashi sensed a chakra that felt both familiar and utterly foreign. It was similar to Naruto's, but… not quite. He whipped his head around. A young, bright-faced man stood not far away, dressed in strange, ancient-style clothing. He was staring at the giant screen, deep in thought, his eyes filled with curiosity, as if he had never seen a TV before, like someone who'd just walked out of the mountains.
Who is this guy? Why is he here? Kakashi hadn't sensed his presence at all it was like he had appeared out of nowhere. What the hell was going on?
Then, in an instant…
The man turned and looked straight at Kakashi. At that moment, Sakumo felt as if he were facing a deadly enemy. His entire body trembled uncontrollably, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. A warrior's instinct screamed at him this was danger.
Kakashi and Sakumo moved at the same time, shielding Sarada and the others. Their gazes locked onto the figure just meters away. The man studied Sakumo and Kakashi the two strongest in the plaza. The ones fighting on the screen should be on a rooftop nearby. But what puzzled him was… why did they have… this eye? And why was it slightly different from his brother's? More importantly, the little girl behind them carried the same aura!
What is this place? It seemed… this was no longer the world he knew.
