Magical Leaf, though a Grass-type move, is mastered by many Psychic and Fairy-type Pokémon. Whether it's Shandera, Pikablu, Roserade, or now Togekiss, they all have this move.
Grass-type moves deal double damage to Ground and Rock types. If Magical Leaf hits, it can cause four times the damage to Crystal Onix. This is Togekiss' effective method of dealing heavy damage to Crystal Onix.
Magical Leaf forms around Togekiss and shoots towards Crystal Onix.
But what Falkner didn't expect was how fast Crystal Onix dug!
Just as it landed, before Magical Leaf reached half its distance, Crystal Onix had already dug another hole and dived underground!
Poof! Poof! Poof!
Magical Leaf grazed its tail, embedding it into the ground, while Crystal Onix's figure had already disappeared.
"What!?" Falkner's face changed. "How is its digging speed so fast!?"
Seeing Falkner's shock, Kai couldn't help but smile slightly.
He's now experiencing the problem I once faced!
And he's the first victim!

Kai recalled when Drake forced him to use the water method to force Onix out. Now, with no water source here, he wanted to see how Falkner would handle this situation!
Togekiss flew in circles in the air, preparing to attack, but there were only three holes and some newly dug soil below. There was no sign of Crystal Onix.
Just like his Pokémon, Falkner also furrowed his brow, his mind working to come up with a solution.
This situation was far beyond his expectations!
Crystal Onix's digging speed defied logic, and not being able to hit the opponent made him feel helpless.
Should he attack again?
Even if he did, it would probably end up the same as before.
It seemed he had to lower his altitude!
He quickly weighed his options. Even though lowering his altitude might expose him to attacks from below, to draw Crystal Onix out, he had no choice but to do so!
"Togekiss, descend further! Be careful, always keep an eye on the ground!"
For Falkner, lowering Togekiss's altitude was his only option.
He had realized that as long as he kept using Yawn and Magical Leaf, techniques that would either control or deal substantial damage, Crystal Onix would remain underground and wouldn't surface.
It was clear as long as it stayed underground, Togekiss had no way of dealing with it.
Though Kai was the challenger and should have been focused on winning quickly, Falkner, now two rounds behind, was undoubtedly more anxious!
In the arena, Togekiss obeyed Falkner's command and began to descend, floating around two meters above the ground.
Sure enough, the next second, Crystal Onix again emerged from the ground. Its massive crystal-like head charged at Togekiss!
Falkner's eyebrows twitched, and he shouted, "Dodge quickly! Then find the chance to strike back!"
With its massive size, Crystal Onix had no difference between ground and air. It closed the distance in an instant.
Togekiss tried to dodge this impact like before, but with the reduced altitude, its reaction time was much shorter. Just as it was about to move, Crystal Onix slammed into it!
Boom!
The less-than-one-meter-tall Togekiss was no match for Crystal Onix's head, and with the force of a truck, it was slammed into the ground like a deflated ball.
Roll, roll...
Togekiss rolled a few times, was covered in dirt, and looked extremely dishevelled.
Kai naturally wouldn't let this opportunity pass. Taking advantage of the momentum, he ordered, "Use Rock Tomb!"
Crystal Onix half-raised its body, opening its mouth wide. Instantly, dozens of giant rocks formed in the air and fell towards the ground.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Faced with the falling boulders, Togekiss hurriedly got up to dodge, but since it was not an agile Pokémon, its speed wasn't fast enough. After dodging a few rocks, it was still struck by the others.
As the massive stones continued to fall, they completely buried Togekiss, altering the battlefield's landscape.
Once the Rock Tomb ended, the battlefield became eerily quiet. The students watching held their breath, stretching their necks to see if Togekiss was safe within the stone mound.
They had never thought that one day, their teacher would be beaten so badly!
Standing proudly on the battlefield, Crystal Onix gazed at the pile of stones in front of it. From the image, it was clear it had fully gained the upper hand.
But Kai knew that after only one hit if Togekiss could be defeated so easily, it couldn't possibly be Falkner's ace Pokémon!
As if to prove his guess, with rocks shaking, a mysterious force suddenly flung the rocks aside. Amid the debris, bruised but alive, Togekiss appeared again!
Seeing that it was still okay, Falkner relaxed a bit. Then he shouted, "Use Magical Leaf to counterattack!"
'Still trying to attack?' Kai wouldn't allow that to happen. "Don't give it a chance; use Sharp Stones!"
Sharp rocks erupted from underground, aiming at Togekiss.
At the same time, a Magical Leaf formed in the air. The two attacks collided, neutralizing each other, but the resulting explosion shattered the rocks into falling debris.
In the chaos, Crystal Onix rushed in. Before Togekiss could take off, its tail wrapped around Togekiss, tightly restraining it!
Crystal Onix tightened its tail, and with a series of creaking sounds, Togekiss felt its bones threatening to snap!
"Damn!" Falkner's face suddenly changed. "Use Kiss of the Angel!"
Togekiss, nearly suffocating from the tight grip, opened its mouth, trying to release Fairy Wind, but felt a dizziness creeping over it!
Kai had already anticipated this. With a wave of his hand, Crystal Onix slammed Togekiss's body aside.
Togekiss rolled a few more times on the ground, its intended move thwarted.
"It's time to finish it!" Kai said solemnly. "Use Iron Tail!"
In Togekiss's desperate gaze, Crystal Onix's huge tail glowed brilliantly, rising high and blocking the sunlight. It then slammed down with tremendous force!.
