The next three days passed quickly. Tista, Friya, Phloria, Quilla, and Yurial each had one-on-one lessons with the guardians to explore their bloodline abilities and learn how to harness them.
Apollo, Elina, Rena, Brago, Jirni, Sylpha, and Meron were summoned before Valeron and
Tyris.
Morgan greeted them with a smile. "Good morning, Mom and Dad. Good morning, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernas, and Mr. and Mrs. Griffin."
Jirni raised an eyebrow. "What's this, Morgan? We all know you're seeing Phloria."
Arthur took over. "Today, I we will start on creation magic lessons. which requires mastery of three hidden disciplines: light magic, dark magic, and rune smithing. Phloria has made pledge.
Only her direct descendant, who will inherit everything from her, will inherit creation magic as well. All three guardians have witnessed this pledge. So, what will your decision be?"
Sylpha spoke up, her tone cautious. "What price would we have to pay?"
Morgan turned to Sylpha. "The same pledge from anyone who joins, and a payment."
Brago frowned, eyeing Morgan. "Girl, what do you want us to do?"
Friya stepped forward with determination. "I am willing to take the pledge and serve under your house for the rest of my life, Morgan."
Quilla nodded, speaking firmly. "I am willing to take the pledge and serve under your house for the rest of my life, Arthur."
Morgan and Arthur exchanged a brief nod. Jirni and Brago looked on in shock, stunned by their daughters' words.
Arthur raised a hand. "That won't be necessary. We just need a payment."
Brago's eyes narrowed. "Can I join the lesson?"
Morgan shook her head. "No."
Arthur spoke again, his voice calm and decisive. "For your entire family, the price is as follows: 1 ton of Gold-Veined Marble, 2 tons of Orichalcum, 1,000 pounds of Adamant, 500 pounds of Davross, 24 Darwen ingots, 200 white crystals, 100 purple crystals, and 50 blue crystals."
Valeron looked thoughtful. "And what would the price be for Tyris and me to learn it?"
Morgan responded without hesitation. "Double the price for you. Quintuple it for the guardians, and the same pledge applies."
Tyris turned to Valeron. "That seems fair. Dear, why don't you take it?"
Valeron nodded. "Okay, my love."
With a wave of Tyris's hand, emerald fire erupted, and the materials appeared: 2 tons of Gold-Veined Marble, 4 tons of Orichalcum, 2,000 pounds of Adamant, 1,000 pounds of Davross, 48 Darwen ingots, 400 white crystals, 200 purple crystals, and 100 blue crystals. With another wave of Arthur's hand, the materials vanished in a wave of emerald fire.
For the next two hours, the royals and the House Ernas negotiated with Morgan and Arthur. Finally, a deal was struck. "The price is 1,500 pounds of Gold-Veined Marble, Orichalcum, and Adamant, 48 Davross ingots, 12 Darwen ingots, 50 white crystals, 150 purple crystals, and 300 blue crystals."
The terms were agreed upon, and the materials vanished in another wave of emerald fire.
Leegaa and Salaark stepped forward. "Can our apprentices join you?"
Arthur responded without hesitation. "Double the price for each of them, along with the same pledge."
With a wave of Leegaa and Salaark's hands, emerald fire erupted, and the materials appeared: 4 tons of Gold-Veined Marble, 8 tons of Orichalcum, 4,000 pounds of Adamant, 2,000 pounds of Davross, 96 Darwen ingots, 800 white crystals, 400 purple crystals, and 200 blue crystals. With another wave of Morgan's hand, the materials vanished in a swirl of emerald fire.
Two warp steps opened, their shimmering portals revealing two figures.
From the first warp step emerged Miles Genys—a tall woman with wavy, honey-hued hair and striking blue eyes. She stood at 1.78 meters (5'10"), wearing a flowing yellow day dress.
From the second warp step stepped Ilyum Balkor—a man with brown hair streaked with black and sharp gray eyes. He was also 1.78 meters (5'10"), clad in a deep red robe.
Morgan turned to Tyris. "Mrs. Tyris, can you create a Tier 5 hard-light construct?"
In response, Tyris conjured a hard-light shield, its radiant form glowing with magical energy.
Morgan took 100 meters (328 feet) of distance, then waved her hand. A Tier 0 hard-light marble shot forward, striking the shield. The moment it made contact, the shield shattered instantly.
Tyris's eyes widened. "I want to join now. What is the price?"
Arthur's expression remained firm. "Two Yggdrasil staves."
Without hesitation, Tyris raised her hand, and emerald fire erupted once more, revealing two Yggdrasil staves, their ancient wood pulsing with power. With another wave of Arthur's hand, the staves vanished in a swirl of emerald fire.
