Later in another part of the afterlife, the masked man was interrogating another man.
"Where is Lilith?"
"I don't know," the poor man cried, "I don't know anything."
"Wrong answer. Erase!"
The masked man held out his palm, and a black energy shot from it.
The energy hit the man, and he screamed in pain.
His body dissolved into nothing.
The man then looked at a nearby wall.
"You can't hide from me, Lilith. I will find you. And when I do, you will die."
Lilith watched from a distance.
At the gate between the afterlife and the human world, Lilith and I were talking to Charon, the ferryman.
"Hey, Charon," I said, "how are things going?"
"Not bad," said Charon, "business has been steady. More and more souls have been crossing the river lately."
"Listen," said Lilith, "We need some information. Someone has been erasing people in the afterlife, and we don't know who is doing it."
"Really," said Charon, "do you think this has anything to do with the writing on the wall?"
"It must," said Lilith, "it just has to. I've been keeping an eye on things, and whoever is doing this is very powerful. We have to find them and stop them before anyone else gets erased."
"Alright," said Charon, "but why is this guy trying to kill Lilith?"
"Well," said Lilith, "like I said before, I'm not popular. I'm sure there are many people in the multiverse who want me dead. Some people are not as forgiving as Bill."
"Bill! Lilith!" Said a voice, "The killer is escaping the afterlife!"
It was Hades.
"Who is he?"
"He's wearing a mask, I can't tell. All I know is that I saw him erasing the guards. We have to stop him!"
"Let's go," I said as Lilith and I teleported to the South Gate.
The masked man was erasing more guards, and a line of souls were running in terror.
"Who are you," I said, "Why are you doing this?"
"Because Lilith killed me," the masked man growled, "she's a murderer. I will have my revenge!"
"Please don't do it, it's not worth it. Lilith is a changed woman, I took the evil influence out of her heart."
"I think I care about that Mr. Hero of the multiverse?! She needs to die, and I will have my revenge."
Lilith stepped forward.
"Who are you? I demand to know who are you!"
The masked man removed his mask, and revealed himself to be none other than Adam, Lilith's ex-husband.
"Adam?!" Lilith gasped, "Is it really you? But why are you erasing people here?"
"You killed me, Lilith!" Adam growled, "You also kill Eve and God. You took Eden away from us."
Lilith thought about this for a moment, it was true. Adam and God had both turned on her and casted her into hell.
"That's not entirely my fault." Lilith said, "Adam, all I wanted was so know what it feels like to be on top. Why couldn't you or God let me experience it just once? Why were you so selfish. Why was God so selfish and narcissistic? You always told me how God was all loving, but you didn't even bother to listen to my side of the story. You both betrayed me and casted me into hell. It's true I had no reason to kill Eve, I became a monster. I won't deny that, I can't undone what I did. Bill gave me a second chance, and now I have changed my ways. What would killing innocent people solve?"
"I don't care," Adam said, "you were a witch. You were a devil!"
"Adam please, this isn't going to solve anything. This is what Eve wants?"
"Don't talk to me about Eve! She was a better wife than you ever were! I'm not like Bill, he is far too trusting."
"Dude, please clam down," I said, "I don't want a confrontation. What Lilith did in the past is not relevant now. Just stand down, I bring the guards back and we'll just forget the whole thing."
"No," said Adam, "I will have my revenge. You are both going to die!"
Adam raised his hand, and black energy surrounded his body.
"Erase!"
Adam shot the energy at us.
"Force field!"
Lilith and I formed a force field, and the energy hit it and then disappeared.
As the force field disappeared, I rushed to Adam and knocked him down with a quick kick.
"I don't want to fight you. Let's just put this all behind us. What's done is done. I have already defeated Lilith, and she is on the path of redemption."
Adam growled.
"Why are you defending Lilith? If you are a n her side then you are a monster too. I will defeat you and save the multiverse from your evil reign. You will be destroyed along with her."
Adam tried a kick to my groin, but I grabbed his leg and flipped him over.
He slammed into the ground.
Adam quickly got up.
"You will not defeat me."
"Just let it go."
"You really think Lilith is good now? Don't make me laugh. Besides isn't the six millennium age gap a bit much for you?"
I frowned at him.
"Is that what you think? You think I spared Lilith's life just to bone her? I spared her because I saw the goodness inside of her, she needed help. So I gave her the help she needed."
Adam laughed.
"Sure," he said, "if that is what you want to believe. The only thing she is good for is making babies."
"You have a lot of nerve!" Lilith said, "Is that why Eve was a better wife, because she's submissive to you? William Kyle had treated me better than anyone else ever has, including you. He actually listens to me, unlike you. He gives me freedom and a choice in what to do, unlike you. If anything, Bill is a better man than you'll ever be!!"
"Lies," Adam hissed, "you are a whore. You don't know how to be loyal."
Adam rushed at Lilith, and she dodged the attack.
"Please," she said, "we don't have to do this. It will not change anything. I don't want to harm you."
"Adam, please stop!" Said the voice of a woman, it was Eve, Adam's second wife.
She ran towards us.
"Eve?" Lilith asked, "what are you doing here?"
"I can't let you fight Adam," she said, "he may have gone too far, but he was just upset. He has lost his way. Please Adam, stop! You don't stand a chance against them. Bill is the strongest being in the multiverse, I saw him in my vision. Please come back. Forgive Lilith, come back to me. I forgive you. Just don't let your anger blind you from the truth. I love you."
Adam hesitated for a moment.
"Please listen to her," said Lilith, "Eve has always been so kind. If you love her, then you will listen. I'm sorry for everything. You don't have to fight."
Adam stopped.
"Adam, I used to be like you," I said, "I was a feisty young teenager who wanted to kill Lilith to avenge my parents, but when I looked into Lilith's mind, I found the good in her. She was transformed into a killer then she found the holy lance, I actually got powerful by finding several holy items during my training. Whenever you absorb their power than your dearest wishes will come true. If you feel good emotions the time then you will have good wishes come true, but if you have evil emotions, then evil wishes will come true. That's happened to Lilith, she was consumed by her anger at God and you, the holy lance amplified her negative emotions. I had my own issues too, and my hatred at Lilith was a result of my anger at myself. I was angry at myself for not being strong enough to stop her, my parents returned in spirit form to encourage me to try again. They believed in me. Jord was there too; she also believed in me; told me not to give up. And then, when I fought her again, I beat her. I had family and friends who believed in me, and I won. I saved the multiverse. My parents, my friends, everyone who helped me along the way. When the fight was over, I brought everyone back, and now, everything is the way it should be. No one is a bad guy, and no one is a good guy. Everyone is just a person. We're all equal. The multiverse is at peace. Please Adam, let it be."
Adam listened.
"I..."
He didn't know what to say.
"It's alright, Adam," said Eve, "please forgive Lilith, and come back."
"I don't know," he said, "can you forgive me, Lilith?"
"Yes Adam," said Lilith as she gave Adam a hug, "I'm sorry, I truly am. You were right, I was a monster. But now, thanks to Bill, I have seen the light. He has shown me the error of my ways, and he has given me a second chance."
Adam smiled.
"I forgive you."
I smiled.
"Well, looks like everything worked out."
"I guess it did," said Lilith.
"So, uh," said Adam, "is that true about you and Bill? Are you guys together now?"
"Well," I said, "kinda. We just have a very close friendship. Maybe we can be more, but it's too early to say for sure."
"I see," said Adam.
"Come on," said Eve, "let's get out of here. Bill and Lilith have a tournament to win."
