At just 22 years old, Jack's height already exceeded eight meters.
With the terrifying physical enhancements from the Elephant-Elephant Fruit, Ancient Zoan Type: Mammoth Form, his strength and endurance were nothing short of monstrous.
Jack was domineering and ruthless by nature, with a fiery temper and a reckless demeanor. Despite this, he was absolutely loyal to Kaido, earning Kaido's trust as one of his most dependable subordinates.
Within the Beasts Pirates, Jack was dutiful and unwaveringly loyal. Toward his two elder peers in the All-Stars, King the Wildfire and Queen the Plague, he remained humble and respectful, never shying away from arduous tasks.
In Kaido's eyes, Jack was a rare and exemplary subordinate. His headstrong and aggressive combat style was often praised as "bold and decisive" by the crew's captain.
As such, the young and formidable Jack, with his unwavering loyalty, ferocity in battle, and humility toward his seniors, was appointed as one of the All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates, earning the title "Jack the Drought."
Wherever he set foot, it was as if a drought demon had arrived—leaving the land barren, desolate, and ultimately ruined.
However, the Navy's perspective on Jack was entirely different...
"'Jack the Drought?' That's no calamity—he's just a mad dog! A rabid one, no less, carrying on Kaido's legacy of chaos!"
Jack's immense strength, terrifying endurance, and near-impossible resilience made him a nightmare. In many cases, his elder peers, King and Queen—despite being far more powerful—were easier to deal with; at least they used their brains!
Now, this reckless tank of the Beasts Pirates, who typically served as a distraction absorbing enemy firepower, had been assigned a task requiring actual thought—a move that left Doflamingo, the intended beneficiary of Jack's help, with a headache.
Fortunately, Jack's overwhelming loyalty to Kaido made him easy to manipulate. For someone like Doflamingo, a master of schemes, it was child's play to keep him in line under the pretense of serving Kaido's interests.
A few days ago, Jack had set sail from Wano aboard his flagship, the Mammoth, brimming with confidence. His mission? To head to Dressrosa and handle "troubles" for Kaido's business partner.
"Solving problems for Kaido-sama's partners means solving problems for Kaido-sama!" Jack muttered to himself as he stood at the ship's bow, arms crossed. "Big Bro King and Big Bro Queen entrusted me with this important mission. I must deliver results!"
"..."
Sheepshead, one of Jack's direct subordinates, wiped the sweat from his brow. At this point in time, Caesar Clown was still collaborating with Vegapunk on Punk Hazard, and the artificial Devil Fruits known as SMILE had yet to be developed. For now, Sheepshead remained an ordinary human.
"That's because Lord King and Lord Queen didn't want to deal with the hassle…" Sheepshead thought silently. He knew better than to voice such thoughts aloud, lest Jack pummel him and toss him overboard.
"How much longer until we reach Dressrosa?" Jack suddenly asked.
"Lord Jack, we should arrive in three days!" Sheepshead replied hastily.
"Good... So, what's with that ship up ahead? Are they here to greet us?"
Jack's deep voice carried a hint of excitement—his reputation had clearly preceded him. Surely this Doflamingo fellow knew how to show respect!
"A ship?"
Sheepshead quickly looked ahead and, sure enough, a faint silhouette of a vessel appeared on the distant horizon.
"Please wait a moment!"
Sheepshead grabbed a telescope and carefully examined the ship.
"L-Lord Jack!"
Sheepshead's voice trembled, and sweat poured down his face. "T-That's a Navy warship!"
"A warship?"
"Yes! And... it's the flagship of Vice Admiral Wright!"
Sheepshead's voice cracked as he uttered the name.
Vice Admiral Wright's flagship, the Dawn, had gained global fame after its battle against the Whitebeard Pirates' Fifth Division.
The first ship in history with combat healing capabilities, the Dawn was as formidable as a floating fortress, practically indestructible. With Vice Admiral Wright aboard, it was a pirate's worst nightmare!
"That legendary warship, huh?"
Jack laughed heartily. "Close the distance! Let's take it down! I'll present it to Kaido-sama as a gift!"
"But Lord Jack, if Vice Admiral Wright is on board—"
"Even better!"
Jack's eyes gleamed with ferocity, an overwhelming aura radiating from his massive frame.
"Do you know who I am?!"
"I am Jack the Drought! You think I'd fear some measly Vice Admiral?!"
"If he hadn't run away last time, Kaido-sama would've already killed him! This time, I'll cripple him and offer him to Kaido-sama!"
"Advance!"
"Y-Yes, sir!"
Sheepshead, despite hearing Jack's wild boasts, felt his nervousness dissipate.
Lord Jack truly was dependable! A mere Vice Admiral? Lord Jack wasn't some weakling like Whitebeard's division commander, Vista!
Lord Jack's strength was unquestionable—he would crush anything in his path!
With newfound confidence, Sheepshead barked orders to the crew, who promptly prepared for battle.
Aboard the Dawn, Vice Admiral Wright and Smoker stood at the bow.
The escort included the same elite team that had fought alongside them against Whitebeard's crew, as well as Kuina and Tashigi.
"Hmm? That must be Jack's Mammoth," Smoker said, narrowing his eyes. "It looks like it's speeding up."
"Indeed," Wright replied with a chuckle. "It seems Jack has recognized the Dawn."
"More than that," he added, smirking. "Knowing Jack's temperament, he's probably planning to take me down and present the Dawn to Kaido as a trophy."
"..."
Smoker opened his mouth, his cigar nearly falling out.
"This guy's that confident?"
"Hmph. Last time, Kaido walked away unscathed. To someone like Jack, that probably makes me nothing more than a 'lowly' Vice Admiral."
Wright's expression hardened. "This won't be like the skirmish with Vista. This is a battle to the death!"
"Understood."
As the two massive ships closed the distance, Wright and Smoker could clearly make out Jack's mountainous figure.
"Fire!"
Under Smoker's command, the Dawn's main cannon roared to life, bathed in radiant gold. The shot struck true, obliterating one of the Mammoth's decorative tusks in a deafening explosion.
"Keep firing!"
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"
The Mammoth retaliated, but its cannons were no match for the Dawn's superior firepower and expertly trained gunners.
The Mammoth's one advantage, however, was its sheer durability. Despite enduring a dozen direct hits, the enormous vessel remained remarkably intact.
"Close in!"
Seeing the two enormous ships narrowing the gap, Jack swung his large arm and issued a direct order.
"Yes, sir!"
At the bow of the Dawn, Wright placed a hand on his sword, Ashes, and began applying buffs to his crew.
"Triple Aura!"
"Blessing of the King!"
The Marines aboard the Dawn could feel their bodies and minds greatly empowered. Memories of past battles flooded their minds, filling them with unshakable confidence. As one, they raised their voices in a spirited battle cry:
"In the name of justice!"
Having completed the enhancements, Wright called out to Smoker, who nodded solemnly in response.
"Don't worry about this side. On that ship, the only real threat is Jack."
"Understood. Protect our people."
Wright tightened his grip on Ashes and gave a curt nod.
"I'll go on ahead!"
