Elara's Perspective
The guys stood up from their chairs after a bit and headed over to the pergola. They were sneaking glances at each other, sizing up who was going for which girls. I felt all jittery and awkward, like I was crawling out of my skin. The stuff they gave me was starting to fade, and I realized they probably didn't think about how I'm a yellow aura. I require a higher dose than the other females that they're used to abusing; it's their mistake.
The dumb bear just left Skye sitting there, playing with a piece of fabric, totally zoned out. She didn't even look my way. What on earth did he give her?
He strolled over to the pergola, completely ignoring me like I was invisible. Guess I'm not his type, which is a bummer because I wouldn't have minded getting a little closer to him. But I guess it makes sense; if I were his type, he would've snatched me up when he had the chance. He must be the one who took us away from Beck.
