"Power is truly addictive," Dax muttered, his voice low as he observed his stats. The Gagarion's bloodline and the Eternal Heart Sutra had boosted his stats like crazy. Unbeknownst to him, his stats were abnormal for his level and realm—far beyond what any ordinary human could achieve.
"Gene Palace."
Dax appeared in his lab. The walls shimmered faintly, reflecting the soft glow of the suspended materials. "Inerous, I recall you saying my storage space is located in my lab," Dax said, his tone calm but commanding.
*Yes, Master. I've downloaded the lab sectors to your brain, including the additional sectors,* Inerous replied, her voice echoing in his mind.
Dax ignored the greyed-out sectors, striding toward the storage area. Upon reaching his storage unit, he was greeted by a simple steel door, its surface cool to the touch.
Dax placed his hand on the door, and instantly, a notification appeared. *Welcome, Master Godfall. Turning off suspension field.* As the door slid open, Dax stepped inside, and his surroundings transformed.
The floor became transparent, like a glassy lake. With each step, ripples spread across the surface, distorting the reflections of the glowing items suspended above. Dax had seen many beautiful sceneries, but this was unreal—a surreal blend of science and artistry.
Three items materialized before him: the Annihilation Horn from Balarog, the Awakening Potions, and his Abyssal Scales. Stretching out his hand, Dax picked up the Abyssal Scales, their surface smooth and cool, before instantly leaving the space.
Dax halted in his steps, his mind already racing ahead. "Inerous, skin the flesh of the Gagarion and laser a tiny fragment of the Annihilation Horn for my research," he ordered, his voice sharp and precise.
He walked to a workbench in his isolation chamber, spreading the gathered materials before him. The Gagarion's skin, skinned to perfection, lay beside the spring robe, the cores, and the Annihilation Shard.
In that moment, Inerous presented the Annihilation Shard, its surface glinting with a faint purple, ominous glow. "Wonderful," Dax said, picking it up with his bare hands.
*Master, that fragment still possesses high annihilation prowess,* Inerous warned, her tone cautious.
Dax nodded, his eyes narrowing as he felt the annihilation energy seep into his fingers. Slowly, his skin began to disintegrate, the flesh crumbling away like ash. But his body wasn't like that of an average human.
"Oh, it seems I made the right decision," Dax muttered, his voice tinged with satisfaction. "The Gagarion's body is truly the best for my foundation. It even complements my Lesser Regeneration skill."
As his fingers began to regenerate, a thought struck him. "Hahaha!" He laughed, the sound echoing through the chamber. "Balarog, I finally have a way to slaughter you."
In his past life, Balarog had narrowly escaped death, his saving grace being that Dax's body was corrupted by annihilation.
"Now, all I have to do is adapt to annihilation," Dax said, a grin spreading across his face. "Ah, you'll become one of my specimens."
Lost in thought, Dax didn't notice his fingers had fully adapted until Inerous spoke again.
*Master, I'm curious. Why did you gather these materials? What is your motive?* Inerous asked, her voice tinged with genuine curiosity.
Dax paused, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Inerous, I see your change, and I'm impressed. The normal you would never ask questions; you'd just obey. But your curiosity is what makes you alive," he said, reflecting on Inerous's evolution since arriving in this strange world.
"Well, Inerous, my goal is to create armor or fabric that grows with its user, has the ability to adapt, and provides feedback," Dax explained, his excitement evident.
Inerous was silent for a moment, then replied, *Master, I hope you don't plan on creating a living weapon for Dalia?*
"No, no, Inerous. This creation will possess no sort of consciousness—only growth," Dax assured, his tone firm.
*Master, you haven't changed,* Inerous sighed, her voice carrying a hint of amusement.
Dax chuckled softly, then turned his attention back to the materials. He picked up the Gagarion's skin, its surface smooth and pliable, and fused it with the spring robe. A beautiful red fabric emerged from the cocoon, its surface shimmering faintly.
With the first step complete, Dax held the beast cores, activating his Origin Eyes. The strings of mana danced around him, their movements intricate and mesmerizing. Focusing on the Blood Worm's core, he saw a creature bound by blood, unable to move, being swallowed by a massive, bloody worm.
In that moment, the worm shrank, transforming into a human-sized leech. "What the..." Dax muttered, his eyes widening. "Is this the monster's skill?"
*Devour!* A voice echoed in his mind, urging him forward. Without hesitation, Dax bit into the Blood Worm's core, swallowing it whole.
*Skill learned: Blood Bound acquired.*
Dax smiled, an idea forming in his mind. He stabbed his hand, letting his blood soak the fabric. He spread the three cores, his Abyssal Scales, and the Annihilation Shard on the fabric.
"Synthesis."
A massive wave of psychic energy surged through him, leaving him momentarily breathless. The cocoon glowed purple, its surface pulsing with an eerie light. Dax sat back, watching as the fusion process unfolded.
Moments later, the cocoon began to shrink, the fabric absorbing it completely. The robe that emerged was breathtaking—its surface resembled dragon scales, each one tipped with gold and veined with purple.
*Abyssal Robe (Growth type).*
Dax exited his lab, returning to his room. He sat cross-legged, running the Eternal Heart and Mind Sutra until the next day.

**The Next Day:**
Breaking out of his cultivation state, Dax rose from his bed. His features were as sharp and striking as ever, his presence commanding yet unsettling. He walked to Dalia's courtyard, his steps deliberate and unhurried.
As he approached, two guards stepped forward, their armor gleaming in the sunlight. One of them raised a hand, blocking Dax's path.
"What gives you the right to enter this courtyard?" the guard demanded, his voice firm but tinged with caution.
Dax halted, his expression calm but unreadable. "I am here to see Madam Dalia," he replied, his tone even and devoid of emotion.
The guards exchanged a glance, clearly unsure how to handle him. After a moment, one of them nodded. "Wait here. We will inform her of your presence."
Dax stood silently, his hands clasped behind his back, as the guards disappeared into the courtyard. The air was crisp, the faint scent of blooming flowers carried on the breeze. He waited patiently, his mind already calculating his next move.
In a serene flower garden, Dalia sat deep in a meditative state, surrounded by vibrant blooms and the gentle rustle of leaves. The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers, and the sunlight filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the ground.
"Madam Dalia, Dax is here to see you," a guard announced, breaking the tranquility.
Hearing Dax's name, Dalia's eyes fluttered open, her cultivation state dissolving. She turned her gaze toward the approaching figure.
Dax stepped forward, holding the Abyssal Robe in his hands. The robe shimmered faintly, its surface resembling dragon scales tipped with gold and veined with purple. Dalia felt an immediate, almost magnetic attraction to it. Without thinking, she reached out, her hand moving to grab the robe.
In that instant, Dax drew his hand back, his expression calm but firm. "Madam, I made this with conditions," he said, his voice steady. "The first is that I personally handpick my own opponents. The second is that I be granted the opportunity to explore the Evil Forest."
Dalia hesitated, her mind racing. The first condition was manageable, but the second gave her pause. The Evil Forest was a dangerous place, and allowing Dax to explore it was a risk she wasn't sure she could take.
"How dare you lay conditions for your master!" Mel's voice cut through the air like a whip as she stepped out from Dalia's shadow. Her sudden appearance startled Dax. In that moment he realized something he hadn't noticed before—not only did Mel possess the shadow attribute, but she also seemed to assimilate with it, becoming one with the darkness.
"Soul weapon!" Mel exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief. Dalia's eyes widened in astonishment. Soul weapons were rare and powerful artifacts, not something that appeared casually.
Dax presented the robe to Dalia, his tone calm but persuasive. "You will consider it after seeing its properties."
Dalia took the robe from his hands, her fingers brushing against its scaly texture. The material felt alive, pulsing faintly with energy.
"It needs your blood to recognize you as its master," Dax instructed.
Without hesitation, Dalia equipped the crimson dagger Dax had improved earlier and slashed her palm. Blood dripped onto the robe, and in an instant, it came to life. The robe danced in the air as if it had a will of its own, then leaped from her palm latching onto her torso.
Mel's eyes widened in panic. "If anything happens to her, I will kill you," she threatened, her voice trembling with anger.
"Stop it, Mel," Dalia said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument. Only she knew how she felt—the robe was already merging with her body, infusing her core with its properties.
Dax observed quietly, his mind racing. *Everything is going smoothly. The first stage is blood recognition, and now it's entering the second stage: nourishment.*
He stepped closer to Dalia. "Clear all forms of tension and let your body go," he instructed.
Dalia followed his guidance, her body relaxing as the robe continued to assimilate with her. Suddenly, a loud *boom* echoed through the garden. Dax and Mel instinctively jumped back, creating distance between themselves and Dalia.
Dalia released a wave of destructive and oppressive pressure, sending the flowers in the garden flying. The air crackled with energy, and the ground trembled under the force of her aura. Despite the overwhelming pressure, Dax stood calmly, his hair whipping in the wind.
"Annihilation," Dax murmured, his Origin Eyes observing the fusion of the robe's annihilation properties with Dalia's being.
"Master!" Mel exclaimed, her voice filled with awe. "Is this the power of a soul weapon?"
In an instant, a red scale armor with beautiful gold and purple tips materialized on Dalia's body. With a thought, the armor shifted forms, transforming from battle armor into an elegant battle gown.
Dalia clenched her fist, and annihilation energy surrounded her hand. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a small orb of annihilation energy floating toward a nearby pillar. The orb touched the stone, and in an instant, the pillar began to disintegrate rapidly, crumbling into dust.
Dalia's eyes widened in shock. "This attack is too powerful," she whispered, her voice tinged with both awe and concern. She turned to Dax, her gaze piercing. "What is this?"
Dax smiled, stepping closer. "Madam, this is your new lifelong partner. As you can see, you probably can't remove this artifact. It will allow you to evolve endlessly with every battle—provided you survive."
"Simply put, it's a growth-type artifact," Dax added, extending his hand as if to emphasize the simplicity of his explanation.
"Impossible!" Mel exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief. "How can there be an item that grows? It's unheard of!"
Dalia remained quiet, lost in thought. *I can tell he's not revealing all its secrets,* she realized.
At that moment, a notification appeared in her mind:
**Annihilation Robe:** Grants user strong protection against physical attacks, the ability to manipulate annihilation, and the capacity to adapt to any harsh conditions. (Growth type)
**1-star Soul Weapon.**
Dalia took a deep breath, her decision made. "I will grant your conditions," she said, her voice firm. "But under the condition that I supervise you personally. Besides, I would like to test this equipment further."
She had already made up her mind. Dax was too talented to be ignored, and soon, the world would hear of this monster. Closing her eyes, she willed the robe to transform into a bracelet. To her surprise, it obeyed, shrinking down and wrapping around her wrist.
Mel stayed quiet, gritting her teeth. She couldn't stop her master, but she couldn't shake the unease she felt around Dax. He was too gifted, too unpredictable. And yet, there was something about him that made her tense, something she couldn't quite put into words.
