Chapter 274 - Chapter 274: The Side Effects of the Antidote

Mo Chen pinched Nihilister's cheeks, forcing her mouth open with a slight squeeze of his fingers. He flicked off the cap of the small vial with his thumb and poured the entire contents down her throat in one go.

"Cough! Cough cough—!"

A violent fit of coughing erupted.

Nihilister's body jerked upright as she clutched her throat, coughing violently. Her pale face flushed red from the strain, as if she were choking. It took her a long moment to recover.

When she finally lifted her eyelids and saw Mo Chen in front of her, she froze momentarily, her expression dazed.

Was this an illusion? How could she still see this bastard after dying?

"Wake up, wake up."

Mo Chen patted her cheeks a few times to rouse her.

Seeing her blank stare, his heart sank.

Damn it, did the corruption turn her into an idiot? Now he wouldn't be able to get any info about the Queen's whereabouts!

Since she wasn't reacting much, he raised his hand and—smack! smack!—landed a couple more crisp slaps across her face.

The sharp sound of the blows echoed.

This finally snapped Nihilister awake—not just awake, but seeing stars.

Instantly, her rage ignited.

"You bastard! How dare you hit me?!"

Mo Chen felt relieved seeing Nihilister regain her senses. At least she wasn't brain-dead.

But before he could speak, Nihilister suddenly flipped over and lunged at him like a predator taking down prey, slamming him onto the ground.

Before Mo Chen could even react, razor-sharp claws pressed against his throat.

"Hah… hahaha…! Finally, you're at my mercy!"

Nihilister's voice was laced with venom, her teeth grinding in fury. If not for her exhaustion from fighting him, she never would've been vulnerable to Indivilia's cheap shot.

Mo Chen sighed.

"Is this how you treat your savior?"

Nihilister paused.

"Savior? What savior?"

Mo Chen replied flatly, "Think carefully. If it weren't for me, you'd already be dead."

"Already dead?" Nihilister blinked. "Wasn't it you who got me killed?"

Mo Chen was stunned.

"Me? If I hadn't shown mercy, you'd be greeting King Yama in the underworld right now instead of yapping nonsense here!"

Nihilister's mind was a tangled mess. Giving up on thinking, she pinned Mo Chen down, locking his waist between her thighs and pressing her full weight, and her assets, onto him to keep him from escaping.

"Whatever! You ruined me, and now—you're paying with your life!"

She let out a wild laugh, crimson eyes burning with madness. Her knife-like nails dug into Mo Chen's neck, the skin indenting under the pressure. One slight push, and she could slit his throat open.

Of course, Mo Chen wasn't about to just lie there. With a sudden thrust of his hips, he flipped Nihilister onto her back. Without hesitation, he pinned her down, gripping her wrists while driving his knee into her stomach to immobilize her.

The tables had turned.

"How stubborn."

Nihilister was taken aback—this seemingly frail human had surprising strength. But prideful as she was, how could she allow herself to be pinned down by a mere human? The very thought was humiliating.

With a sharp tug at Mo Chen's collar, rrrip!—his freshly changed clothes were torn apart.

Before Mo Chen could even mourn his ruined outfit, Nihilister twisted her body, hooked a long leg around him, and leveraged her momentum to flip them over, pinning him beneath her once more.

Seeing Mo Chen stay silent, Nihilister assumed she had him completely subdued. Her tail flicked triumphantly as she loomed over him, crimson eyes blazing with arrogance.

"Human, now you're truly at my mercy."

Unbeknownst to her, their current position was… highly suggestive.

From Mo Chen's perspective, Nihilister's 'scorching' figure was on full display—the plump, perfectly rounded curves of her southern hemisphere, the taut and toned plane of her abdomen looked like a meticulously sculpted work of art.

Her shapely thighs were firm yet supple, her skin smooth as silk.

As for the rounded swell of her hips, pressed tightly against him, their peach-like fullness slightly distorted under the pressure. Her battle-torn bodystocking, reduced to tatters, did little to conceal anything.

Yet Nihilister remained oblivious, too busy gloating over her apparent victory. That is, until she felt something rigid and unyielding pressing against her, hard as steel.

Annoyed, she reached down, intent on snapping it in half.

Mo Chen immediately caught her wrist.

That was his dear little brother—his most cherished family member. How could he let it come to harm?!

Nihilister hadn't expected Mo Chen to resist in this position. She struggled briefly but failed to break free. Her pretty face darkened as she wrapped her hands around his throat instead.

Fine. If I can't crush what's below, I'll just twist off what's above.

Her patience had run out. It was time to kill him.

"Blame your own hypocrisy and stupidity. Why did you save me?"

Her smile bloomed like a poisonous poppy—beautiful yet deadly, the curl of her lips dripping with malice.

"Now, let me devour you. I've always wondered what humans taste like."

Her eyes glittered with sadistic glee, the thrill of vengeance mingling with the darker urge to play with her prey. There was something almost… predatory in her gaze, as if she wanted to strip him bare before consuming him.

A crimson tongue flicked out, wetting her lips as she bared her sharp fangs and lunged for his throat.

But the moment her mouth touched his skin—

Instead of biting down, she licked him.

…What?

The wet, teasing swipe of her tongue against his neck left Mo Chen just as stunned.

What is she doing?

Snapping back to her senses, Nihilister tried again, aiming to sink her teeth in—only for another involuntary lick to escape her.

I'm trying to bite him!

It was as if… something was controlling her body.

"W-What's happening…?"

Horrified, Nihilister met Mo Chen's odd expression and exploded in rage. She fisted the remnants of his collar and snarled, "You! You deceitful human! What did you do to me?!"

Mo Chen finally understood.

The antidote's side effects had kicked in!
