Chapter 271 - Chapter 271: The Twin Red Tides

The Red Tide is the existence that nurtures life, much like 3.5 billion years ago.

The seed Mo Chen had left inside Indivilia's abdomen burrowed deep, silently rooting and sprouting, rapidly growing. The life inside her was rapidly developing, and over time, the seed gradually sprouted, dividing into more cells and forming the embryo of life.

Just now, after absorbing enough nutrients, nearly overflowing, the pregnancy stage finally ended.

Indivilia's stomach had swollen like that of a pregnant woman, and through her skin, the life inside could be seen moving.

The rhythmic "thump-thump" echoed.

That was the sound of a heartbeat!

"Ahhhhh—!"

Indivilia pressed her hands to her abdomen, screaming in agony, stumbling backward a few steps. Her unsteady steps couldn't support her collapsing body, and she finally fell to the ground, kneeling on her knees.

Her face turned pale, her body convulsed uncontrollably. The intense, excruciating pain felt as if her entire body was being torn apart.

Inside her stomach, it felt like a storm was raging, as if all her internal organs and intestines were being squeezed, twisted, and shredded, the feeling of swelling and expansion like a balloon about to burst.

In an instant, the scarlet mist of the Red Tide seemed to come to life, enveloping Indivilia in her pain. It wrapped her in a thick layer, forming what appeared to be a cocoon, covered in a semi-transparent film.

The thin film was covered with crimson blood vessels, and under the light, faint human shapes could be seen moving inside, stretching with the rhythm of the pulse.

The surging heartbeat echoed inside the cocoon.

"Thump, thump, thump…"

A heartbeat-like rhythm.

It seemed that Indivilia inside was still struggling, but soon, the struggle subsided.

Then.

"Boom—!"

Like fireworks exploding in the height of summer, the cocoon shattered!

In the instant the blood blossomed, a strong stench of blood filled the air.

The shape was like a blooming rose, but each petal was stained with blood, making it look exceptionally seductive. As the blood flowed, the blood flower gradually spread, forming a red sea, coloring the surrounding land and air the same hue.

In that instant, countless severed limbs and arms could be seen, some from the Raptures and others from the Nikke, scattered on the ground. These were absorbed by Indivilia earlier.

Mo Chen raised his hand, and the cold gleam of his sword flashed. The flying severed limbs were instantly burned to ashes by the flames, his gaze unwavering as he stared at the broken cocoon, waiting for the hatching to finish.

Suddenly, two slender figures appeared from the sea of corpses and blood, their blood droplets splattering into the air, and in the blink of an eye, they shot toward Mo Chen at an incredible speed, almost reaching him instantly!

Their speed was comparable to that of Indivilia from before!

But Mo Chen did not make a move.

As expected, the two figures abruptly stopped one meter in front of him, defying the laws of physics, as if the inertia didn't apply.

At that moment, the slender figures emerged from the hazy scarlet light.

They appeared to be twins, identical in appearance, both with long pink hair cascading like waterfalls, blooming like cherry blossoms, flowing with dreamlike colors like the tails of fish.

Their eyes were a light ocean blue, clear and transparent, as if untouched by the pollution and stain of the world, as pure as newborns.

Their slender bodies were graceful and elegant, like exquisitely crafted artworks with no flaws, perfect porcelain figures, as if human aesthetic had been poured into their forms. The jet-black, fish-scale-like parts clung to their flawless curves, outlining their enchanting figures.

The slender waist seemed to be small enough to be grasped by two hands. The flat and tight abdomen slightly concaved inward, its lines flowing and graceful, while the breasts were firm and full, trembling slightly with each movement of the body.

The skin was as white as jade, smooth and delicate, almost as if it could be felt as soft as a breeze.

They were the twins from the Red Tide's nurturing process.

They were also the twins from Punishing Gray Raven.

However, unlike in the original game, where there was one male and one female, the twins here were both female and appeared exactly the same.

Mo Chen reached out and gently pinched the cheek of one of the twins. The sensation of soft, tender skin followed.

Though it was their first appearance, their first meeting, Mo Chen felt an odd connection between them, as if there were a strange bond, almost like a blood relation. The twins before him felt like his daughters.

The twins seemed to be in their infantile state, unable to speak or express any emotions. They only stared at him with clear, innocent eyes.

At that moment, a scream echoed from the distance. Mo Chen turned and saw blood mist appearing at Indivilia's location. The severed limbs on the ground seemed to be drawn toward the blood mist by some invisible force.

Without warning, the twins at Mo Chen's side suddenly shot toward the blood mist like lightning.

"Roar—!"

Indivilia emerged from the blood river of the mist. Her body was already torn and ragged, with parts of Nikkes and even Raptures scattered across her. She screamed as she reached out, her five fingers cutting through the air with sharp, blade-like energy.

"Clink, clink—!"

Several soft sounds echoed as the twins effortlessly blocked Indivilia's attack. In the blink of an eye, they were before her. The twin on the left threw a punch at Indivilia's body.

"Boom!"

The small, steel-like abdomen caved inward.

Indivilia, driven mad with pain, showed no hesitation in retaliating, swiping at them. The other twin nimbly leapt high into the air and brought her leg down in a powerful kick to Indivilia's back.

"Boom!"

The sound of impact rang out, and Indivilia lost her balance, staggering, leaving her swipe to miss.

At that moment, a sharp shadow streaked through the air, lightning fast.

It was the tail blade!

It swiped horizontally toward the twins, aiming to slice them in half!

The twins twirled, like graceful dancers, easily dodging the tail blade. Together, they spiraled upward into the air and suddenly shot down, becoming a brilliant, red flash as they dived toward their target!
