Looking at Jiang Heng before her, Jiang Ruoyao felt utterly disheartened. She stood up to face him, her voice still quivering with tears as she spoke, "Jiang Heng, do you really have to be so ruthless?"
Jiang Heng glanced at Zhong Niangyao and Lu Yichen, then turned back to Jiang Ruoyao. His usual gentleness had completely faded, "Jiang Ruoyao, don't blame me for this. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have come to this godforsaken place today. Every man for himself, heaven's wrath will be upon those who don't look out for themselves, so don't pretend you don't want to leave this place either."
"Jiang Heng, I never would have imagined you'd turn out this way," Jiang Ruoyao said, shaking her head in disappointment. "I must have been blind in the past to have fallen for you."
At this point, Jiang Heng had no excess emotions to spare; all his attention was fixed on Zhong Niangyao and Lu Yichen. After weighing his options, he decided it was better to deal with Jiang Ruoyao first.
