Upon hearing his eldest son's inquiry, Mr. Lai did not look at him but instead fixed his gaze on Li Jingming. "He has done some things he should not have done and does not deserve to continue being a part of our Lai family. This is a decision your mother and I have made. Do you have any objections?"
In that moment, his gaze shifted to his eldest son. Though it was merely a simple question, it was filled with an oppressive air.
"No."
Feeling his father's displeasure, the Eldest Son of Lai Family dared not probe any further.
He had asked simply out of curiosity. Of course, part of the reason was to see if there was still a chance for redemption. Although his feelings for Li Jingming were not deep, he was still his son after all. Having another son was not a bad thing for him.
However, if this son's presence were to anger Old Sir and Old Mrs. Lai, that would be another matter.
