Late at night, a taxi was driving along a deserted road. This road was indeed remote, not even a streetlight in sight, shrouded in darkness, illuminated only by the taxi's headlights.
Driving along such a quiet road, the passenger in the back had not spoken a word since getting into the car. The taxi driver, looking at the passenger through the rearview mirror, couldn't help but feel a chill run down his spine. He involuntarily stepped on the gas pedal, accelerating, all because he wanted to reach the destination earlier.
For some reason, he felt increasingly anxious, as if something bad was about to happen.
All he wanted now was to finish this ride as quickly as possible, then head straight home. Even though it meant earning less money for the night, at least he could rest easy.
In a place the taxi driver hadn't noticed, the passenger in the backseat curled his lips into a strange smile, his face so pale it hardly seemed alive, becoming somewhat twisted.
