Chapter 265 - Chapter 265: Trapping the Roger Pirates

Chapter 265: Trapping the Roger Pirates

Charlotte usually stayed quiet and didn't act rashly, which was why his bounty hadn't been too high. But that didn't mean he was weak. Based on the strength he had displayed, his bounty shouldn't be lower than three billion Berries. I suggest setting it at exactly that amount.

Tsuru laid out several bounty posters on the table.

The officers leaned in to examine them.

Gol D. Roger, Captain of the Roger Pirates – 3.574 billion Berries

Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates – 3.46 billion Berries

Shiki the Golden Lion, Captain of the Flying Pirates – 3.85 billion Berries

Alright! Then we'll set Rockefeller Charlotte's bounty at three billion Berries!

Kong made the final decision.

With the order given, Tsuru immediately started preparing the new bounty notice.

The meeting concluded shortly after.

Meanwhile, in the New World, Roger's return sparked immediate conflict.

The Flying Pirates have spread their influence this far?

Roger asked as he held up a defeated pirate by the collar, looking over at Rayleigh.

Roger, we've been gone from the New World for five years. The power balance has changed. The New World is now divided into three territories—Shiki the Golden Lion, Charlotte Rockefeller (the World's Strongest Swordsman), and Whitebeard, Edward Newgate.

Shiki holds the largest domain. Nearly all of the islands near the Red Line belong to him.

Rayleigh explained as he cut down another pirate who tried to attack them.

Damn it! You dare challenge the Flying Pirates? The Admiral will not let you go!

The pirate Roger was holding gritted his teeth, trying to sound menacing.

Roger laughed loudly.

Hahahahaha! Then let Shiki come at me!

With that, Roger tossed the pirate into the sea. Whether he lived or died was up to fate.

Fortunately for him, he managed to grab onto a floating plank and drift away with the current.

The Floating Islands

Heh! Entering the New World and immediately targeting my forces? Does Roger think nothing of me?

Shiki read the latest newspaper, his expression darkening.

ROGER PIRATES RETURN TO THE NEW WORLD!

ROGER PIRATES DESTROY MULTIPLE FLYING PIRATE CREWS!

The bold headlines stood out.

Shiki-sama! Half of our Red Line territories have been destroyed by the Roger Pirates!

A subordinate reported anxiously.

AHHH!!

CRASH!

Shiki threw his goblet to the ground, shattering it in fury.

Damn you, Roger!

Right now, Shiki was expanding his influence into the central New World.

He had planned to take over new kingdoms and islands while Charlotte was away.

But before he could secure control, Roger appeared and started causing trouble!

Pull back our forces! We're hunting down the Roger Pirates!

Shiki immediately changed his battle plans.

They could not afford to lose control of their core territories.

Yes, sir!

The orders were sent out.

Shiki's massive fleet quickly turned back, abandoning their campaign against the New World's center.

The other factions in the New World watched in confusion.

It wasn't until the news broke that they realized what had happened.

The Flying Pirates are dealing with a rebellion!

Many secretly thanked Roger, as his actions bought them time.

At Sea – Roger Pirates vs. Garp

Damn you, Roger! Stop running!

A Marine battleship was furiously chasing after Roger's ship.

Standing on the bow, Garp had rolled up his sleeves and was hurling cannonballs with his bare hands.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Roger stood at the stern of his ship, laughing heartily as he cut down incoming cannonballs.

Hahahaha! Garp! It's you again? Doesn't the Marine HQ have anyone else?

Roger called out, grinning as he wielded his Supreme Grade Sword, Ace.

Roger, you bastard! You ran off while I was on leave! Because of you, I got yelled at by the Fleet Admiral—I'm definitely catching you this time!

Garp ignored Roger's words, continuing to bombard him with cannonballs like a madman.

Damn rabid dog!

Rayleigh cursed as he deflected more incoming shots with his rapier.

Hahahaha! Catch me if you can, Garp!

Roger's laughter echoed across the sea.

His carefree attitude only made Garp even angrier.

Both sides fired relentlessly, their ships speeding across the waves.

As they clashed, dozens of ships loomed ahead.

Three massive floating islands hovered in the sky, casting ominous shadows over the sea.

Report! Admiral, there's a battle ahead! A Marine ship is chasing a pirate crew—it appears to be the Roger Pirates!

A Flying Pirate spotter rushed into the hall where Shiki was drinking.

What? The Roger Pirates?!

Shiki's eyes burned with fury.

He had only half-listened to the report—as soon as he heard Roger's name, he snapped.

Men! Grab your weapons! We're wiping out the Roger Pirates!

Shiki drew his twin swords, Kikunojō and Oto, and let out a fierce battle cry.

OHHHHH!!

His fleet roared in agreement, charging out of the floating island stronghold.

The Flying Pirates descended from the sky, their massive warships setting sail straight for Roger's ship.

Roger Pirates Surrounded

Bad news, Roger! There's a huge fleet ahead—it's Shiki's Flying Pirates!

Jabba ran to the ship's stern, looking panicked as he called out to Roger.

Shiki? Why is he here?!

Roger frowned.

Roger, did you forget what we did after entering the New World?

Rayleigh sighed, exasperated by Roger's cluelessness.

What? Of course not! I just… didn't think Shiki would be this petty! It was only a few islands—does he really need to bring an entire fleet?!

Roger rushed to the side, looking toward the massive skyborne armada approaching them.

At the head of the fleet, Shiki stood, gripping his swords with a murderous glare fixed on Roger's ship.

Roger felt a chill run down his spine.

Does he really need this much killing intent?

Roger muttered, baffled by Shiki's rage.

Seeing Roger's nonchalant attitude, Rayleigh and Jabba both felt a headache coming on.

Roger, focus! We need to figure out how to escape! This is not the time for a fight!

Rayleigh warned, his eyes sharp as he studied the two overwhelming threats before them.

Behind them: Garp, the "Marine Hero"

Ahead of them: Shiki, the "Flying Admiral"

They were trapped—with nowhere to run.
