The gates snapped open.
The first beast emerged a brute of a creature, ten feet tall, a fusion of a boar and a rhino, its body covered in plated bone. Its tusks were carved like swords, its eyes red with madness.
Typhon didn't hesitate. He dropped into a low stance, claws gleaming.
The monster charged.
He met the charge with his lion half, dodging to the side and slashing at the creature's leg. Sparks flew, but the hide was thick.
Typhon's tail whipped around, striking its jaw and staggering it. The beast roared and turned, gore-flavored spit spraying from its maw.
Typhon leapt into the air using his skill wings, then dropped with crushing force onto its back. His claws dug deep into its spine, his snake-headed tail sank fangs into the creature's neck, pumping poison.
The boar-rhino bucked and thrashed, smashing into the wall, trying to crush him.
But Typhon held firm. He drove his claws deeper, then tore. The flesh gave way with a sickening rip.
The beast collapsed.
