Viella was glad to find Caspian already there by the time she reached the oak tree. His figure stood still, his hands resting inside his pockets. He noticed her footsteps and turned around. In the shadows, the shade of his green eyes looked darker.
"I was beginning to wonder if you'd fallen asleep," Caspian said. Then, "Are you alright? You look..." He reached out to touch her face, but as if realising what he was doing, he let his hand fall.
"I know. Sweaty and a mess. Did you know there's a River Mother nearby?" Viella asked, pointing over her shoulder with a thumb.
"I see you're already getting yourself acquainted with the school's myths," Caspian said. "Did you meet Alastor on the way?" he asked.
