Ruben went closer to the prison. He inserted the circular key into its opening in the prison.
The metal cage, now stood vulnerable as the chains that bound it were slowly unwound. The sound of clanking metal echoed through the air as the links were loosened, one by one. With this, Ruben stepped two feet backwards. With a final clatter, the chains fell away, releasing their grip on the cage. The heavy metal door, adorned with rust and scratches, creaked as it swung open, its hinges groaning in protest.
As the door yawned wider, the darkness within the cage was slowly dispelled, revealing the space inside.
With the cage now open, Ruben muttered, "Victor," then bringing up his wooden torch. Immediately, Victor, in the form of a huge Lycan, growled and was stepping forward, closer, ready to devour Ruben.
"Wait," Ruben said, but it fell on deaf ears as Victor kept moving closer with much speed and agility.
