Shin was walked through the thick woodlands, the pixie sitting on his shoulder with a worried face. "Are you sure about this?"
The little one was called Effile, a wood magic spellcaster. She can summon vines, magically form wood, and twist it. Shin somehow managed to convince her that he should investigate this dead bog of black mist. Whatever the monster was hiding in there, it'll also be a harm for the humans and they have the right to act.
The pixie couldn't argue much with that logic, and she ended up guiding Shin through the forest against her judgment. She would rather no weak human approach that unholy place, but Shin didn't look like someone who could easily perish.
The dead bog of black mist was located almost an eight-hour walk from the lumber lodge. It'll usually take two and a half hours to reach the edge of the forest, then almost six hours to reach the start of the dead bog.
