Kaene crouched beside the body, a scowl appearing on his face. "Who is he?" He asked, his voice low that I almost didn't hear him.
"We don't know Sir, he was not part of the pack. No scent, no familiar features." One of the warriors answered, his voice shaky, hinting at fear.
Of course, a warrior would also be scared of the scene in front of us. It was simply horrifying.
"I think he's a stranger, he has no scent."
Lycan Davos said, looking at the body then looking back at the group of warriors.
A wave of relief flooded me, but I also felt really bad for the person, whoever he was. He was someone's father, son, friend, husband and brother, yet he was used a sacrificial lamb.
He got caught in a cross fire, but no one knows him enough to give him a befitting burial or meet his family.
How many more people needed to die? What is coming and what do they want? And how do I stop it?
