I fell to my knees, still shaken by what had just happened.
This was pure torture. I couldn't take it anymore.
I stood up, looking at the circle the boy fell through, a sob escaping my lips.
The boy's screams still echoed in my mind
He had called me his mom too. I clenched my chest as I felt the pain of losing him.
I didn't want to stay there anymore, so I ran and didn't look back.
My vision blurred with tears as I sprinted through the ruins of the pack. I didn't know where I was going, but I just wanted to leave this place.
I slowed down when I saw the Alpha mansion standing tall in all its glory. Then I noticed the scenery had changed once more.
The mansion wasn't in ruins like it had been when the hunters came. I looked around and there were no ruins. It was as beautiful as I remembered it to be.
I walked slowly through the gates, observing the surroundings.
The sky was bright this time and sunlight escaped through white clouds. The ambience seemed to speak peace.
