Deep within the dense forest, Suien held a transparent porcelain bottle in his hand, his face twisted into a sinister grin.
Inside that bottle was Takigakure's treasured secret—Hero Water!
Back in the day, Takigakure had risen to power thanks to Earth Grudge Fear and the Hero Water, becoming the strongest ninja village outside of the Five Great Nations. They even secured ownership of the Seven-Tails following the Five Kage Summit.
What a glorious time that was.
But, as the years passed, Takigakure had only grown weaker and weaker.
Now, they couldn't even fend off a couple of nameless rogue ninja.
Staying in such a village any longer was pointless.
With the Hero Water in his possession, Suien could thrive anywhere!
Just as he was fantasizing about his bright future, a firm hand suddenly gripped the back of his neck.
Before he could react, his body was forcefully yanked backward and sent flying.
BAM!
With a dull thud, Suien crashed heavily onto the ground.
"Damn it, what just happened?!"
Dazed, Suien lifted his head, and his jaw immediately dropped in shock.
Surrounding him were his former comrades from Takigakure.
Many of them glared at him with burning fury in their eyes.
This... this was Takigakure!
"But I already ran dozens of miles away! Why am I suddenly back here? What the hell is going on?!"
Terrified, Suien scrambled to his feet, completely at a loss for what had just transpired.
He wasn't the only one bewildered—many Takigakure ninja were equally dumbfounded.
According to Shumoku, Suien had fled nearly two hours ago. With a ninja's speed, he should have been at least dozens of miles away by now. So how had Uchiha Mirai pulled him back here out of nowhere?
Only Kisame had an inkling of what had happened, silently marveling to himself.
That last move Mirai used clearly involved space-time manipulation.
But unlike conventional space-time ninjutsu, Mirai had directly established a stable spatial gateway, pulling Suien back from miles away.
That was leagues more difficult than simply teleporting oneself!
And beyond that…
To precisely locate Suien and connect the spatial gateway to his exact position, Mirai must have sensed Suien's presence across that vast distance in an instant.
That level of power made even Kisame, who had always abided by the laws of the ninja world, feel as if his entire understanding of reality was shattering.
Could a ninja… truly wield such godlike abilities?!
As Suien stood up, Shuto couldn't hold back his anger any longer.
"Suien! Why did you try to escape with the Hero Water?!"
Suien scoffed. "The Hero Water doesn't belong in the hands of you weaklings. Leaving it with you would be nothing but a waste of such a powerful treasure."
"Only I can bring out the full potential of the Hero Water!"
Hearing those words, the Takigakure ninja were filled with rage.
How dare this bastard say such things?!
Suien swept his gaze over Shuto and the others, his eyes filled with disdain. He sneered,
"I originally planned to go into hiding to strengthen myself, but since you won't let me leave, I'll just stay right here."
"From now on, Takigakure belongs to me."
"Anyone who dares defy me will be utterly destroyed!"
"Hahahaha!"
Suien laughed maniacally, his eyes gleaming with madness.
Takigakure had only one jonin—himself. And now, with the Hero Water in his hands, who could possibly stop him?
Yet, after his declaration, the villagers didn't argue. Instead, they simply stared at him with an odd expression.
Their reactions unsettled Suien. With a frown, he snapped, "Why are you all looking at me like that?!"
Shuto barely managed to suppress his laughter and pointed to Uchiha Mirai.
"We already swore allegiance to Lord Mirai. Takigakure now belongs to him."
Suien scoffed in contempt. "Cowards! You disgrace Takigakure with your pathetic surrender!"
Then, he turned to size up Uchiha Mirai and Hoshigaki Kisame.
"So it was you two who brought me back, huh?"
"You should've known the moment you laid hands on me that you were sealing your own fates."
As Suien exuded arrogance, Kisame let out a grin, baring his sharp teeth.
"Lord Mirai, should I take care of this guy?"
Mirai gave a nonchalant nod. "Go ahead."
Kisame's grin widened as he stepped forward, hoisting his massive blade, Samehada. Then, without hesitation, he swung down!
The blade cut through the air with a chilling whistle, sending Suien into a panic. He hurriedly raised his kunai to block.
CLANG!
As Samehada clashed with the kunai, its sharp spines tore into Suien's face and arms, leaving deep punctures.
At the same time, a massive amount of Suien's chakra was devoured in an instant.
With just one attack, half of Suien's combat strength was gone.
"What the hell is this weapon?!"
Reeling back in shock, Suien quickly circulated his remaining chakra to staunch his bleeding wounds.
Kisame chuckled mockingly. "Talked a big game, but this is all you've got?"
Suien's expression twisted with fury. He sneered, "Your weapon is indeed unusual. But if you think that alone will defeat me, you're sorely mistaken."
"With the Hero Water, I am invincible!"
He uncorked the porcelain bottle and gulped down a mouthful of the Hero Water.
Immediately, his face contorted in pain.
But at the same time, his chakra surged violently, as if he had transformed into a rampaging beast.
Seeing this, Shuto quickly warned, "Lord Mirai, the Hero Water multiplies a ninja's power tenfold! Suien is extremely dangerous now—please be careful!"
Kisame smirked coldly.
He loved fighting opponents with an excess of chakra.
Of course, Mirai was an exception.
As Suien's chakra exploded in strength, Kisame charged at him once more.
One slash, two slashes, three slashes…
Suien's newfound power allowed him to hold his own against Kisame, at least for a while.
But as time went on, sweat began to bead on his forehead.
Even with ten times the chakra, he couldn't withstand Samehada's relentless consumption.
"At this rate, I'll lose."
"I need to take out the other one first."
Making his decision, Suien momentarily repelled Kisame and used the Body Flicker Technique to dash toward Mirai.
"I'll kill you first!"
SMACK!
Mirai casually lifted his arm, his right hand clamping firmly around Suien's neck mid-charge.
As his Rinnegan glowed ominously, Mirai's voice rang out coldly.
"Do you also wish to dance?"
