Chapter 365 - C326

Seeing the Super-Skrull Legion he had built, Carter couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.

Of course, there were a few glaring exceptions—figures he couldn't ignore.

The leader of the Justice League, Batman, along with three of his longtime allies: Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Green Arrow.

It wasn't that Carter didn't want to replicate them.

He simply couldn't.

To create a Super-Skrull, he needed a genetic sample—the foundation for crafting a replication module.

Once a Skrull soldier received this genetic implant, they would gain the same abilities as the original—or, in some cases, an even more enhanced version.

For years, through various means and covert channels, Carter had collected genetic material from nearly every enhanced individual on Earth, assembling this powerful Super-Skrull force…

Yet, despite all his efforts, in the last two years, he had been unable to obtain samples from Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, or Green Arrow.

It was almost as if they had anticipated this exact scenario.

Every time they appeared in public, they took extreme precautions.

Even worse, their movements were unpredictable—they vanished without a trace, making it impossible to pinpoint their locations.

But today, Carter couldn't afford to wait any longer.

The Skrulls were on the brink of mass panic.

If he hesitated, the cracks in their ranks would only deepen.

So, he made his decision.

He would stop waiting for those four to slip up.

With his already-complete Super-Skrull Legion, he would strike now—and crush humanity outright.

Even without those four superheroes in his collection, the sheer power of his Super-Skrulls left no doubt in his mind—

There was no force on Earth that could stand in their way.

Not even a nuclear bomb could stop them.

"Listen up, soldiers," Carter commanded, his voice ringing out with authority.

"Our target is New York."

A murmur of excitement rippled through the crowd.

"There, in front of the entire world, I will announce the existence of the Skrulls. Humanity will finally see that we possess power beyond their imagination—power they cannot resist."

His voice grew sharper, filled with conviction.

"Even if the Justice League stands against us, even if the entire world's armies unite, they will not stop us today."

He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in.

Then, with a triumphant smirk, he delivered his final decree:

"After today, we will no longer skulk in the shadows—we will walk in the light, standing tall as the rightful rulers of this planet."

"After today, we will be the masters of Earth!"

His speech was like a spell, weaving exhilaration and purpose into his troops.

For far too long, the Skrulls had lived hidden among humans.

More than a decade—nearly two—they had forgotten what it meant to be a dominant race.

Once, they had been one of the most powerful species in the galaxy.

Now, they were seen as mere refugees, scattered and broken.

But today?

Today marked the beginning of their return to glory.

Each Super-Skrull in Carter's ranks had known this moment was coming.

They had waited for it.

And now, at last—

The final phase of the plan had begun.

Yes, it was happening sooner than expected, but that didn't matter.

Because after today—

Earth would become their new home.

And once the Skrull Empire had regained its strength, they wouldn't stop here.

They would reclaim the stars.

As for the humans, the planet's native species…

Their fate was obvious.

They would become servants—subjects to their new rulers.

A fanatical cheer erupted through the Super-Skrull Legion.

"Understood!" they roared, their voices shaking the very air.

"Let's move!"

"For the Skrull Empire!"

"After today, we will be legends—just as the humans once worshipped their so-called superheroes!"

With that, the invasion of Earth had begun.

"The difference is that we are the superheroes of the Skrulls!"

After Carter finished speaking, he took the lead, stepping out of the base and boarding the massive spacecraft docked on the landing pad.

One by one, the Super Skrulls followed, filing into the ship.

Whoosh!

The spacecraft lifted off, leaving behind a desolate, dimly lit planet and setting course for a vibrant blue world.

If an outsider had been present to witness the launch, they would have realized something shocking—

The Super Skrull base was hidden deep within the Moon.

They had never been on Earth at all.

No wonder Anton and the others had searched the entire planet and found nothing.

Carter had built his stronghold far beyond their reach.

New York

Underground Base of the Men in Black

Alarms blared across intelligence agencies connected to global satellite networks.

"A spacecraft has entered Earth's orbit! Estimated time of arrival: four minutes!"

A technician's voice trembled as he relayed new data.

"Trajectory analysis suggests they're heading for the United States..."

Another agent gasped in horror.

"Their target is New York!"

"Urgent report! Urgent report!"

Despite the escalating tension, the Men in Black intelligence officers remained composed.

They did not panic.

They stood firm, systematically relaying updates to their superiors.

Within seconds, Anton received an emergency briefing from the organization.

At that moment, only two minutes remained before the spacecraft would breach Earth's atmosphere.

Anton looked toward the sky, replaying the intelligence reports in his mind—

And then, it clicked.

"They're not on Earth…"

The realization struck him like a lightning bolt.

No wonder Carter had remained completely undetected.

He had never been hiding on Earth.

Anton had made a mistake.

His mind raced back to the battle with Carter—who had been disguised as Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers—in Washington.

After their fight, Carter had fled into space.

Back then, Anton had assumed Carter was simply retreating, using the vastness of space to escape.

But now, in hindsight, it was clear—

Carter had other plans all along.

Anton's eyes narrowed.

"They'll be here in two minutes… In that short time, launching missiles is impossible."

He thought quickly.

"Any defensive measure will be meaningless."

Then, he sneered.

"Let them come."

His words caught the intelligence officers off guard.

"What?"

"Do nothing," Anton ordered calmly. "Let them land in New York."

The agents were stunned.

"Sir, are you sure—?"

Anton remained unfazed.

"We've been prepared for this. The Justice League has been waiting for them."

The hesitation vanished from the agent's face.

He understood.

They weren't afraid.

They had been expecting this.

"Understood!"

As soon as the approaching alien spacecraft was detected, the news spread like wildfire among world leaders.

Within minutes, governments across the globe mobilized their forces.

Military units scrambled into action.

In the halls of power, high-ranking officials demanded answers.

The head of the World Security Council immediately contacted Anton.

But Anton didn't answer right away.

He was speaking with John Keller.

In truth, the ones most anxious about the approaching invasion weren't the United Nations—

It was the United States government.

Every intelligence agency had confirmed it.

There was no doubt about the ship's destination.

It was headed for one of the most famous cities on the planet.

New York.

For some reason, out of all the cities in the world—

It was always New York.

It had become almost expected.

The most invaded city on Earth…

Was about to face its greatest threat yet.
