Chapter 2 - Ruins - Melting Catacombs

Frisk ran, entering the Ruins, but everything seemed... Melting... Red and blue strings piercing through everything.

Frisk continued, and notices how even the safe stars were also pierced through by this strings.

Frisk continued, trying to avoid the amalgamation of monsters in the Ruins.

Froggits, Whimsons, Vegetoids, Looxs, Moldsmalls, and Migosps.

All had a melting appearance, but maintaining their size.

Frisk tried to ACT. They believed ACTing would work, at least with one of them.

Frisk didn't had much options to ACT, and the best option was to flee, running away. But for how long Frisk could run away?

The monsters were melting, and recovering, in a constant endless loop of dying and healing.

The monsters weren't filled with determination, but yet, all of them were glitching, having glitch particles and error effects.

Some monsters even had blue strings piercing them. Those monsters were glitching more and with higher intensity than the rest.

Frisk tried to spare... But they weren't sparing Frisk. So Frisk tried attacking, just to weak them, but when Frisk attacked, the stick started to being consumed strangely by a Froggit when the stick touched the Froggit.

The Froggit's body, while melting, seemed to be taking the stick, making it melt too.

Frisk moved back, thinking in what options they had. FIGHT would result in becoming an amalgamation. ACT doesn't work, and the options are very limited. ITEMS is useless, as no items in the inventory to can use or offer. MERCY doesn't work either, as spare them doesn't seem to work, the monsters don't seem to react to accept Frisk's mercy; but flee was the only option that seemed available, and useful.

Frisk ran, and ran. Going through the puzzles with ease. After the so long time Frisk spent in the Underground, they knew everything puzzle, and every solution.

The path was long, and the effort even lomger. Frisk had to oodge and evade the attacks of the monsters, while also the monsters themselves, while having to solve the puzzles without any help.

The hardest puzzle was the spike bridge, but by memory, Frisk reached to solve it with slow speed. But monsters were simply going through, as their bodies by the constant state of meltdown, made them capable of stick to surfaces, and pass through in liquid state.

The chase seemed endless, and more intense than any fight. This wasn't only for continue and reach an exit. It was for survive, not being touched, or become an amalgamation...

As Frisk advanced more and more, everything seemed more glitchy, with more error effects, more glitch particles, red and blue strings everywhere.

While escaping, Frisk accidentally touched slightly a blue string, cutting with high intensity of DMG their arm. Frisk was now bleeding from their left arm, while also their left arm was starting to glitch a little, with glitch particles around the cut injury, and error particles up and down the cut injury.

Frisk panicked, trying to understand. But their questions had to wait, more monsters were coming. Slow but constantly, in an endless chase.
