ADRIANA'S POV
As soon as I pushed the door to the room open at the mansion, I leaned heavily on the doorframe, tears staining my face as I sobbed silently.
It was better as we had spoken but there was void in my chest that refused to be filled. I didn't want to show vulnerability, not in front of anyone so I found myself sliding to the floor in the privacy of my room, sobbing, pulling my legs and hugging it to my chest so I could bury my face in them.
"You alright?" A sudden voice made me jerk and i peeked up to see Master LaRosa staring down at me with a frown on his face when he saw the tears.
I quickly cleaned my face and stood to my feet, my face taking on a neutral expression. "I didn't realize you were inside. I could have sworn I locked the door" My gaze darted to the bag in his hand.
He smirked, his brows crinkling. "Lucky for you, I have a key to the house so… and I'm also surprisingly light on my feet"
