Heiside State, Eltoya.
Even in this country situated on the equator, a heavy snowfall had arrived.
It was highly unusual.
As one of the hottest places on Earth, Heiside State did have a winter season, but only a few areas experienced occasional snowfall.
Yet these past few days, the snow in Eltoya had been exceptionally heavy, enough to make many nations in the East Continent envious.
Global warming was no longer a topic of debate but had become a norm; summer temperatures had long since soared past 40 degrees, and while many countries convened repeatedly, no real action was taken in the end.
Developed nations time and again lectured developing countries: eat less meat, use less oil, generate less electricity, emit less carbon dioxide. However, they themselves continued to produce larger supercars and waste more energy.
The world had never been about morality, only about power.
