In the Hokage Office, many people arrived.
From Senju clan, clan head Iwashi, 4 elders, and Mito.
From Uchiha clan, clan head Kagami, who has recently become the head after Akane was admitted in the hospital, Akane, and 4 top jonins. Uchiha clan doesn't have any concept of elders.
The meeting was headed by the Hokage.
However, she noticed that she was getting strange looks from both sides.
And the top 4 Uchiha jonins were glaring at Iwashi for some reason.
Deciding to put that aside for now, she started the meeting.

During the Ninja War, both Uchiha and Senju clan members were targeted. But, Senju clan was targeted far more due to other villages trying to get Wood Release.
After the war, Uchiha clan is left with only 29 jonins, and Senju clan is left with only 20 jonins.
The main casualties, Chunins, were the main targets in particular. Senju clan after the war, now only has around half the number of Chunins in Uchiha clan.
As the co-founders of Konoha, the two clans must remain at similar strength and influence according to me.
Mixing in the village, taking different surnames, is actually a reasonable and good method to avoid being targeted. The individual teams that go on missions can be targeted by bounty hunters as anyone bearing a Senju name will be valuable for the enemies.
It will even work with the Senju clan due to no constant trait aside from large chakra reserves.
But, after I became Hokage, Uchihas are also going to be targeted the same way, as the underworld bounties have risen.
But, there is a trait that doesn't allow Uchiha clan to mix up in the village.
Sharingan.
Ideally, we can have a seal which will give protection to Uchiha descendants like this Hyuga's seal without the slavery part, and with the seal being invisible.
But, we don't have that right now.
Moreover, there is one more thing that is the issue.
If Senju clan disperses. If Uchiha clan disperses.
Then which clan will gain more influence?"
"Hyuga."
Akane said disdainfully.
"Ideally, all ninjas in the village will move on from being too focused on the benefit of their own clans to the village. But no clan is intent on dispersing. Aside from Branch family of the Hyuga clan.
And in this situation, when no one is doing it and we do it, we will lose the influence in our village that our clans founded.
So, my suggestion is that allowing the people of the clan to freely be able to get house even outside their clan compound in the village.

Afterall, both clans are descended from brothers, the two sons of Sage of Six Path.
And the feud is over.
Well, the people who live by the possible clan's name will still still get targeted. But the life of ninja is dangerous. Those that don't want to be targeted will have a way out this way, and it will ensure that both Senju and Uchiha clans remain equal."
Afterall, thinking about it, in the original series, there is no way the Uzumaki clan would have been wiped out with Konoha doing nothing if Senju clan still had influence in the village.
One of the elder of Senju clan nodded and said, "I can understand where you are coming from, Hokage-sama. We have put you into a difficult position as us just dispersing like that will look bad for you. It will be seen as if you are weakening the Senju clan.
But, Senju and Uchiha clan has a very bad history against each other.
Even Hashirama-sama and Madara-sama who were the first in history who tried to end the feud and founded the village together, still couldn't get rid of their differences.
The other people in both of our clans aren't that understanding. It's okay to live across the street, but together..."
Iwashi said, "We can have some intermarriage alliances. And with time, I think things will get better. I mean, 20 years back, could we have even imagined that both clans will live across the street, and having a meeting like this?"

"Hokage-sama, there is no need to try to combine the clans. It seems that after loosing First and Second Hokage, the Senju clan has turned cowards.
You don't need to sacrifice yourself for their cowardice!"
Akame blinked.
What the hell is he even saying!? What is she sacrificing?
"Umm, when did I say that I am sacrificing myself?"
"Huh? Weren't you planning to enter into an arranged marriage with the Senju clan head?"
