The clock read 6:30 p.m. and the soft golden glow of the setting sun cast long shadows across the living room. Kaiya was still asleep in Jin's arms, her breathing slow and peaceful, her delicate features relaxed.
Jin sighed, leaning his head back against the couch. He knew he had to wake her up soon, but a part of him didn't want to. Seeing her like this—so vulnerable, so at ease—was a rare moment he didn't want to disturb.
His fingers brushed against her soft violet hair as he studied her face, committing every tiny detail to memory. The way her lips parted slightly as she breathed, the warmth of her body against his, the way her arms remained loosely draped around his shoulders even in sleep.
"…Too cute," he muttered under his breath, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
But time was slipping away.
With a reluctant sigh, Jin leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Kaiya's lips.
