As Leo descended the stairs, the warm, inviting scent of breakfast greeted him. He saw Aisha in the kitchen, her back to him as she carefully placed a plate of eggs and toast on the table.
When she turned and saw him, her eyes widened in surprise. "Leo?" she said, her voice carrying a mix of shock and relief.
He tilted his head slightly, curious at her reaction. "What's wrong?"
For a moment, she didn't answer, her gaze fixed on him as if trying to piece together fragments of a puzzle. Then, like a sudden wave, the memories came flooding back.
"I... I don't remember much after those monsters attacked," she said, her voice faltering. "I remember someone—something—killing your blood fiends. It happened so fast, and then I was knocked unconscious. When I woke up, I was here, and..." She trailed off, her hands trembling slightly as she clutched the edge of the table.
Leo stepped closer, his calm demeanor steadying her. "It's fine now. You're safe," he said softly.
