I had been looking forward to this date ever since it was set. I was also in the best mood even going as far enhancing my curls because I did not want to braid my hair yet.
When I dressed up, the twins and Ama gasped and showered me with compliments. I grinned and did a twirl for them and Ama snapped me. I decided to take the leap and tell Jermaine to pick me up this time around.
He opened the door for me and gave me flowers. I did not regret telling him to come pick me up anymore. It sweetened me to realize that maybe this date was the right choice.
I was not thinking about Lucien. Instead, I was thinking about my date. Jermaine looked so handsome in his shirt. "You look so beautiful," he tells me looking at me briefly before turning his eyes back to the road.
I grin at him and I say, "Thank you. You look good too."
He grins. "I have to try my best as my date is the most stunning woman ever," he replies.
"Oh," I say.
