Yes, it did.
I am happy Amari asked me to take care of the kids even though I was wishing that it was Genevieve who asked me. It hurt that she did not, and it hurt more that she felt the need to also ask her brother to join me. As if she did not trust me to take care of my own kids.
Reasonably, one will say that I should not look at it that way, but I could not help it, but I suck it up because at least I will be able to spend time with my kids.
I wanted to be fully sure I could try to be as good as Genevieve was taking care of them because I knew it was no easy feat. I also wanted to be as good since I did not know how to take care of them yet.
