Lucien and I had different arguments on the birthday. He wanted to fund everything, and I wanted to pay for something. He felt there was no need for me to pay for anything seeing as he is more than capable to pay.
That angered me.
I am their mother, and we are not a couple so I need to also pay something even though it will not be up to what he probably planned to pay for seeing as he is wealthy.
I glare at him, and say, "Lucien, they are my kids, and I will want to be involved in payments of something."
"They are also my kids," he says. "Plus, you have been involved for years just let me handle it. You do not have to stress."
"There is no stress," I tell him.
"I am their mother, and I will be paying for something."
"But you will also be cooking with your mum, sister in law and Ama," he tells me.
"Yes, and I will like to also contribute financially."
"Okay, you can give me five dollars," he says.
