Bai Meiyue sneered at the crowd when they turned around and ran with their tails tucked in between their legs. She knew these people would not come to cause trouble for her in the next few days, which worked just fine for her.
She then turned to look at the two siblings and said to them, "Come with me. I will give you two sacks of rice and two catties of pork belly. Because you two did a good job, you two can choose three condiments each that you want. So discuss it among yourself."
Though Bai Meiyue was harsh, she wasn't without a heart. She knew that the two siblings had used all their courage to overcome their fears and barriers, and since they did such a good job, she would toss in some extra rewards.
