When Bai Meiyue woke up, the sky had turned dark. She squinted and opened her eyes before turning to look at the clock. It was six in the evening. She yawned and sat up straight on the bed. Now that she had woken up, Bai Meiyue could hear the sound of laughter and chatter from the living room.
Listening to the sounds, she wondered if she had turned momentarily deaf. If not, how could she sleep through this noise? She arched her hands over her head and then went to take a bath. The weather had turned colder and nothing felt better than taking a dip in the warm water; of course, Bai Meiyue didn't dare to stay too long in the water for fear of catching a cold.
As a pregnant woman, she couldn't take medicines without worrying about the side effects.
