Chapter Ninety-Two
"Tell me, do you hear her tell you the number of kids she beats and you reward her with sweets?" she said as her palm was about to land on him when the man grabbed her.
She saw the angry look in his eyes and she loved it.
But before he could tighten his grip, Asli twisted her body, using the momentum to swing her leg in a sharp sidekick to his ribs. The impact sent him stumbling back, releasing her hand in the process.
She didn't waste a second. The moment her wrist was free, she spun, delivering a swift back fist to his jaw. The man grunted, shaking his head, but she could tell he wasn't going down that easily.
None of the men standing did anything to help him. She couldn't tell whether Ahmet had signaled them again to not interrupt her or it was because the matter was about abuse.
"Looks like you raise your hands just as easily as you raise a bully," she said, watching him recover.
His expression darkened. "You're making a mistake, girl."
