As the list hovered in the air, a deep silence settled over the room. The soft glow of the interface reflected in everyone's eyes as they scanned the names and descriptions.
Gwen tilted her head. "Arcane… Vault Trunk?" She glanced at Nova. "This sounds like some high-end tech. Some kind of storage device?"
Felicia smirked. "A time dilation chamber? What, like something out of sci-fi?"
MJ let out a low whistle. "Phoenix Tears? Thunderbird Feathers? This sounds like… I don't even know. Some fantasy RPG?"
Wanda's brows furrowed. "Are these… real?"
Emma, who had been quiet, tapped a manicured nail against her glass, studying the list with an unreadable expression. "It's certainly interesting, I'll give you that."
Then, Pietro snorted. He leaned forward, pointing at the list with an incredulous smirk. "Wait, wait, wait. Hold up." He glanced at everyone, then back at Nova. "Are you serious?"
Nova arched a brow. "Something funny, Speedy?"
Pietro huffed a laugh. "Uh, yeah. This entire list." He gestured to the items floating before them. "Guys… this looks like something straight out of Harry Potter."
That made everyone pause.
Gwen blinked. "Wait. What?"
MJ narrowed her eyes. "No way…"
Felicia frowned slightly, rereading the names. "Arcane Vault Trunk… Phoenix Tear Vial… Thunderbird Feather…" Her expression shifted. "Huh."
Wanda crossed her arms, skeptical but intrigued. "So you're saying these are… what? Magical artifacts?"
Pietro nodded, looking almost amused. "Exactly. I mean, think about it—Thunderbird? That's from Fantastic Beasts. Phoenix Tears? Literal Harry Potter healing magic. The enchanted trunk? Yeah, wizards in that world have those. Time dilation and auto-sorting storage sounds like something straight from Hogwarts."
Emma finally spoke, her voice slow and considering. "So what you're suggesting… is that Nova is trading with the actual Wizarding World."
Wanda's eyes remained sharp as she crossed her arms. "Or he's just messing with us." Her voice was even, but there was a clear challenge in her tone.
Pietro scoffed. "Wouldn't be the first time someone tried to pull a fast one." He shot Nova a smirk. "So, what's it gonna be, magic man? You gonna prove this isn't just an elaborate joke?"
Felicia leaned back, a playful glint in her eyes. "Yeah, Nova. If you really have access to a world of wizards and magic… show us something real."
MJ smirked. "Better make it good. You've got a very skeptical audience right now."
Nova simply chuckled, reaching for his drink. "Oh, don't worry. I love a good dramatic reveal." He took a slow sip, then set the glass down with a grin. "Give me a second."
With a flick of his wrist, the holographic interface shifted, and a faint golden glow shimmered in the air. Then, with a soft whoosh, an object materialized before them.
As the Arcane Vault Trunk settled onto the floor, the room remained silent. The intricate silver runes gleamed softly under the ambient lighting, exuding an undeniable air of mystery and power.
Nova took his time, letting their curiosity build before he finally spoke. "This," he said, tapping the trunk lightly, "is the Arcane Vault Trunk."
The reactions were immediate.
Felicia raised an eyebrow. "You're seriously presenting us with a trunk? What, does it double as a secret booze stash?"
Gwen, arms crossed, tilted her head. "It does look fancy, I'll give you that."
MJ smirked. "I dunno, guys. We've seen some crazy stuff lately. Maybe this thing's got some kind of high-tech nonsense packed inside."
Pietro scoffed. "Unless that thing can sprint faster than me, I'm not impressed."
Wanda, however, narrowed her eyes slightly, a flicker of something unreadable in her expression. She could feel the faint hum of power coming from the trunk, like an aura pressing against the edges of her senses. "It's enchanted," she murmured.
Nova smirked. "Oh, it's much more than that."
He let the anticipation linger for a moment before stepping forward. "Alright," he said, tapping the trunk's lid. "Let's start with something simple."
With a flick of his fingers, the runes along the edges pulsed once. The lid opened on its own, revealing what appeared to be an impossibly deep storage space. But as the others leaned in, they noticed something even more unusual—items were shifting and organizing themselves, shelves appearing and disappearing as if responding to an unseen command.
Felicia narrowed her eyes. "It's… auto-sorting?"
Nova smirked. "Yup." He picked up an apple from the table and casually tossed it inside. The moment it crossed the threshold, the air shimmered. The apple vanished—only to reappear on a neatly labeled shelf marked 'Fresh Produce.'
MJ grabbed a handful of coins from her pocket and tossed them in without looking. The trunk reacted instantly—small compartments unfolded within the storage area, each coin sorted into labeled slots based on its type. The entire process was seamless, almost hypnotic.
Gwen reached out hesitantly and dropped a random pen into the trunk. The moment it landed, the trunk's interior shimmered, and the pen vanished—only to reappear neatly placed in a compartment labeled 'Writing Supplies.'
Nova smirked. "Everything gets arranged by category the moment you place it inside. No more digging through piles of junk."
MJ blinked. "Okay, that's actually really cool."
Pietro gave a low whistle. "Neat party trick. Got anything more impressive?"
Nova chuckled. "Oh, you want impressive?" With a quick gesture, he activated the second function. The trunk's interior shimmered, the walls shifting and stretching. Suddenly, what had been a simple storage space transformed into a small but fully furnished study.
Bookshelves lined the walls, a sturdy desk sat in the center, and soft magical lights flickered to life. The air even carried the faint scent of old parchment and ink.
Emma raised an eyebrow. "A customizable interior?"
Nova nodded. "Study, lab, training area—you name it."
Wanda stepped closer, trailing a hand along the edge of the trunk. "And what's this about a time dilation feature?"
Nova grinned. "Step inside and find out."
With only a moment's hesitation, Wanda took a breath and stepped into the study. The moment she crossed the threshold, the shimmering walls seemed to ripple around her before sealing her inside.
A full minute passed in silence. Then, with another ripple, Wanda stepped back out—only now, her hair was slightly tousled, and there was a glint of realization in her eyes. She glanced at the clock. "That was… one hour?"
Nova smirked. "One hour inside, thirty minutes outside. Perfect for training, studying, or just squeezing in extra time."
Pietro looked between the trunk and Wanda, his skepticism wavering. "Okay, that's actually insane."
Felicia crossed her arms, nodding in reluctant approval. "I'll admit, this is… way beyond what I expected."
Nova chuckled, tapping the trunk once more. "And that's not even getting into the self-repairing enchantments and the anti-theft wards. Trust me, you don't want to mess with those."
Nova leaned back against the trunk, arms crossed, utterly pleased with himself. "Told you," he said again, his grin widening. "I am a multiversal trader."
Without missing a beat, Emma casually flipped her hair over her shoulder, her sharp eyes still locked onto Nova with keen interest. "So, you're telling me these are the only items you've acquired?"
Nova leaned back, his smirk unwavering. "From the Harry Potter world? Yeah, so far. Well… I do have a magical library that contains knowledge up to the fourth year at Hogwarts."
Silence.
Then—
Pietro let out a sharp laugh, shaking his head. "You do hear yourself, right? That sounds completely insane."
Felicia leaned against the table, arms crossed, her lips curling into an amused smirk. "Yeah, you're talking about trading with movie characters. What's next? A lightsaber from Star Wars?"
Nova's smirk deepened. Oh, the irony… Before his rebirth, they had all been fictional characters too. The idea of explaining that was tempting, but he wasn't about to detonate their brains just yet.
Instead, he shrugged. "Well, in this multiverse, anything is possible." His voice carried a teasing note. "Maybe the things you see on TV… the stories you read… even the dreams you have—maybe they're all real somewhere."
That made them pause.
Gwen frowned slightly, tilting her head. "You're saying different worlds exist… and that they're somehow connected?"
Nova chuckled. "Exactly. What if, in another universe, we're the fictional ones? Just characters in someone else's story?"
Felicia scoffed. "Okay, now you're just messing with us."
MJ leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table. "Alright, hold up. So, does Harry Potter actually exist? Like, is he a real person walking around somewhere, casting spells and fighting Voldemort?"
Nova gave a half-shrug. " Indeed, despite how crazy this sounds, I had a video call with Harry Potter and Hermione Granger last night."
Silence.
Then—
Pietro let out a sharp laugh, throwing his hands up. "Okay, now you're just screwing with us."
Felicia stared at him, unimpressed. "A video call? With Harry Potter? Nova, do you even hear how that sounds?"
Gwen raised an eyebrow. "What, did you Zoom into Hogwarts?"
Nova rolled his eyes, leaning forward. "Look, I get it. To you, they're fictional. But to me? They're just people from another world."
Emma's expression remained unreadable, but there was a flicker of something in her eyes—curiosity. "If you're telling the truth… what were they like?"
Nova smirked. "Pretty much what you'd expect. Harry's got that whole 'reluctant hero' thing down to an art, and Hermione? Smart as hell, always overanalyzing everything. She was very interested in discussing interdimensional trade laws."
Felicia scoffed. "Of course she was."
MJ rubbed her temples. "This is ridiculous. Next, you're gonna tell me Voldemort's got a LinkedIn profile."
Nova chuckled. "Nah, but if he did, I bet his connections would be killer."
Pietro groaned. "I hate that joke."
Emma, however, was still focused. "And this magical library you mentioned… does it actually contain real spells? Potions? Knowledge we could use?"
Nova nodded. "Up to fourth-year Hogwarts level. Charms, transfiguration, potions, even some theory on spell crafting. The basics, but still extremely valuable."
Felicia's interest visibly spiked. "Wait, so if I wanted to learn some actual magic…"
Nova shook his head," You need magic, especially Thaumic Conduit Gene, which is required for magical people."
Felicia's interest visibly spiked. "Wait, so if I wanted to learn some actual magic…"
Nova shook his head. "You'd need magic in your system first. Specifically, the Thaumic Conduit Gene—it's what allows witches and wizards to channel magic naturally."
Felicia frowned. "So you're saying I can't learn magic?"
Nova smirked. "Not yet. But if you were born with even a tiny sliver of potential, there are ways to unlock it. Some dangerous, some… slightly less so."
Felicia's eyes narrowed. "And I'm guessing you have access to those ways?"
Nova chuckled. "Maybe. But let's not get ahead of ourselves."
MJ tapped her fingers on the table. "So, if magic requires this special gene, how does that work in the wizarding world? Like, why are some people born magical and others aren't?"
Nova shrugged. "Same way some people are born mutants and others aren't. It's a genetic lottery. Except instead of super strength or laser eyes, you get Leviosa and broomsticks."
Pietro smirked. "So what, does that make wizards and witches their world's version of mutants?"
Nova nodded. " Not exactly as it's much more complicated but magic inheritance is much more stable from generation to another unlike mutants."
