Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Report

After Ra'Zhul discoveries of Salt Shore about the Golden eyed child. Who could somehow perceive a stealth master like Ra'Zhul. And the discovery of this green splotch like curse. Which slowly degrades the body until death.

I also learned other things from Ra'Zhuls' report. One big fact was by pure coincidence Ra'Zhul discovered another piece of information a rebellion against this country was in place.

I never deviled further after asking how he came to this piece of information. After Ra'Zhul a glint of disgust as he wiped some blood from his metaphorical hand.

"Was it a knight you gained this information from?" However a question was indeed needed to be asked so that no questions for this possible knight were uttered.

And with a rasp of a voice I received my answer "No my lord." Keeping my word I stopped questioning my subject and moved on with this information gathering. Especially about this golden child.

Ra'Zhul didn't know much nor did I expect it however I did come to a standard conclusion from this little meeting they had.

"It seems these humans can use magic. And apparently they're small in number." This was my standard conclusion or at least a guess based on Ra'Zhul information which could prove fruitless so this conclusion needs to be proven before it's believed.

Ra'Zhul however after being the core witness agreed with my assessment and spoke "I agree…my liege?" The last bit of his sentence was obviously a question and with a quirk of my brows Ra'Zhul asked.

"Would it be possible to go back and monitor this child I believe there is more to be seen from her." At first I wanted to interject, but based on Ra'Zhuls' description of this child she was no simple one.

Acting like a fool but is actually a calculated enigma. As she could have alerted her father and the other knight of my subjects presence however maintained cool as if she was assessing him.

With the compounded information I sighed placing my hand on my face and sighed agin stating my next order "You are permitted to return to Salt Shore. Your mission is the study of this power this Tabitha possesses and to articulate if she can become a future nuisance that may need to be culled."

Ra'Zhul understanding this deteriorated away into shadow like mist escaping the throne room returning to Salt Shore after I told Ra'Zhul to return with a month that should be a good amount of time to ascertain this girls agenda.

Once alone I felt an incoming headache and instinctively looked to the right of my throne where a brown table stood holding only a golden bell with the insignia of a helmet on it.

I reached for the bell ringing it for only two sharp dings as the doors to the throne room opened a Worker appeared standing at the end of the room who scurried to me. Which was no easy feet given the Worker's small stature and stump like legs.

I bell I rung was obviously a servant bell which one of the Worker's gifted me as a way for me to get twice my workload done. However they already have plenty of it so I just give them simple yet breathable tasks.

"Please prepare my dinner in my study as it seems I will stay up late…. Oh and also please bring city duties and the like for the archipelago with the food please."

The pleases weren't necessary however I want the Workers to know how much they mean to both the community and to me as they've done much for us easing our responsibilities.

The Worker easily smiled and complied leaving closing the doors as I stayed seated mentally preparing for the next true day of both my stay in this world and the next set of headaches to come.

But to prove me wrong another Headache had appeared just as the thought left me. "My lord?" This voice was Marnie who was telepathically speaking through one of her numerous spells she possessed making long distance travel simpler.

"Speak" I exclaimed annoyed at my quiet atmosphere was altered by this telepathic way of communication. "Apologies my lord but Cavenfish requests to know what kind of Sea Beast you'd like us to deliver to Dr. Victor?"

A well asked question as there are essentially the same number of subspecies of Sea Beasts as there are fish in the sea. I know I explained them to be the size of humpbacks however what I left in that piece of information is that they all are different types be them Whales or Shrimp.

Yes both are entirely different but both share a complex biological map from their unique and diverse anatomy. I went into thought until I settled on a Whale leaving the call after making my decision and left the throne room to begin my late night studies of my Kingdom.

"Understood my Lord" Marnie on the edges of the core island of the Archipelago stood next to Cavenfish who had his pirate hat in his fin hand awaiting the command.

Once the target was given Cavenfish slumped his head placing his hat showing disinterest. Marnie seeing this was about to correct Cavenfish's behavior but was surprised.

Cavenfish screamed with pride shooting his cannon like flintlock into the sky cheering causing his sleeping crew to awaken confused as to why their captain was shouting in utmost joy.

"Come on lads we've got a hell of prize to nab!!" Mostly confused but seeing the joy on their captains face the crew members who were once asleep jumped and also proceeded to scream with joy.

Following Cavenfish his crew lowered the boarding plank onto the captains ship known as Ambessa sailor of the seas where a familiar voice caught Cavenfish's attention. While Marnie simply followed.

"Hey captain where too!"

The Ambessa was in a word rotted as this ship seemed to rot and break before the Pirates could leave port however due to the magic of this archipelago like kingdom the ship stuck together like glue with the head ornament the lamia a mermaid monster. Known for taking their prey to bottoms of the deep to fest upon them.

The one who voiced his question to Cavenfish was his right hand and helmsman on the crew Van K. Mark. This creature was ocean blue for his skin. Van was shirtless showcasing his blue ocean skin and bulging muscles while his fish like eyes penetrated any who stared too long. Van also wore a set of brown pants with two holsters one for each side of his body. Attached to his pants were simple brown combat boots making it simple in case of ambushes of Sea Beasts.

While his hands remained on the helm of the ship awaiting his Captains order. Cavenfish with Marnie behind him showed a shark teeth of a grin and hoisted his sword northward screaming with joy "For the biggest known Sea Beast!!" The crew who were loading up supplies of tomatoes and weapons provided by the Workers suddenly stopped looking to their cheerful captain and couldn't help but scream.

"Hell Yeah!!!!!"
