"Hey, why are you just standing at the door?" Ruby stepped forward, but froze too when she saw Ares hanging casually by the door.
"I see you're dressed for the night," Xander, who had come with Ares, said.
"Good, take her to the club then. I'll join you soon," Ares said.
"The club?" Ruby questioned dazedly.
"Yeah, the club. Are you not going?" Ares looked at Angel.
Stepping out of the shock that had claimed her for a moment there, she blinked in confusion.
"Hey, I'm talking to you," Ares said.
She looked down at her stomach, and then up at him.
"Oh," he bobbed his head. "I get the message. But it doesn't matter. We see pregnant women at the club all the time, right, Xan?"
"Yeah, sure. I'll just get the sister to the club. You two have fun. Ready?" He turned to Ruby, who had finally also returned from startled land.
"Sure, but first," she turned to Angel. "Are you sure you're really okay? Do you want me to find a way to get you some food?"
