A knock sounded on their door half an hour later, and Ruby jumped out of bed to answer it.
"Hey," she said.
The person backing her turned around, and his heart dropped on seeing her.
"Hello," she waved in his face when he remained silent.
Eli blinked out of the thoughts her looks had kept him in, and smiled.
"I'm here to take you to breakfast. You and your sister I believe?"
"Yeah, I'm Ruby." She stretched out her hand to him.
He looked down at her delicate fingers, and a small smile played on his face.
It had been a while he tried to be seductive, but the feelings had certainly returned.
Taking her hands in his, he brought it to his lips, and bit it just a little.
She giggled, as her eyes widened in disbelief. "What was that for?"
"We do things a little differently here in Kolasi. Don't be alarmed when you see things that are out of the ordinary, or the conventional," he leaned in to her to whisper.
She caught his fresh breath, and the strong smell of his cologne.
