Before South Jenkins could finish speaking, a plate of food suddenly appeared in front of her.
She was slightly stunned, and the words that followed got stuck in her throat.
Ellis, looking bewildered, asked her, "Are you hungry?"
South Jenkins, staring at the delicate and delicious meal, suddenly felt that her previous behavior was somewhat inappropriate, giving off a sense of granting favors with strings attached.
She nodded: "Yes, I'm hungry."
Peter Olsen handed over the food: "What were you just saying?"
South Jenkins pursed her lips and, in the end, simply smiled: "It's nothing."
She picked up her chopsticks and began to eat.
The meal today included soup, enough to show how considerate Peter Olsen was. After taking a couple of bites, South Jenkins looked up again: "I really didn't drug it."
