Chapter 397 - Chapter 397

After awakening his spatial abilities, Hui's understanding of space underwent a complete transformation.

The entire world felt different to him now.

He could clearly see and even touch space itself, realizing that this world wasn't just a singular, isolated dimension.

Rather… it was a collection of countless dimensions.

Although Hui couldn't yet see all these countless spaces, his deductions led him to understand that the world contained innumerable dimensions, parallel worlds without end.

This raised a curious question: Were the world of the pirates and the world of the shinobi in the same dimension, or did they exist in separate dimensions altogether?

Hui was quite the it interested in understanding this.

"Such a shame… using my full power to traverse space is far too unstable. I can't experience it repeatedly."

Shaking his head in resignation, Hui could only temporarily set aside his curiosity and stop probing deeper into the mysteries of space.

After all, his wedding was approaching, and he couldn't afford to stir up any unexpected trouble now.

Everything could wait until after the wedding.

The ruler of the Sage Shinobi Nation, the leader of Hidden Sage Village, the Sage himself, was getting married.

News of this had already spread across the entire World; and almost everyone had heard about it.

At first, people reacted with indifference to the announcement.

Though they were all subjects of the Sage, he felt far too distant from them. So distant, in fact, that he seemed almost unreal.

So, why would his marriage matter to them?

However, after Hui's journey of "miracles" throughout the world, people's perception of the Sage began to change.

His miracles had altered countless lives.

So now, with the Sage's wedding approaching, how could they not offer their blessings?

The entire world buzzed with excitement.

People from all corners of the Sage World set out for Hidden Sage Village, bringing along the gifts they had prepared, eager to present them personally as tokens of their well-wishes.

By this time, people had already begun arriving in Hidden Sage Village.

Among them was Karo, an old farmer from the Region of Wind. He had crossed mountains and rivers with his grandson to get here.

As for his son, Karo had ordered him to stay behind in the Region of Wind to assist Lord Fugaku with the region's massive development project.

It was said that once the project was complete, the Region of Wind would become a much better place.

"You must follow the leader's orders and see that the development goes smoothly. As for Lord Sage's wedding, I'll bring Kaka with me,"

Karo had said at the time.

And with that, he took the family heirloom, a beautiful, unusual piece of metal, and set off for Hidden Sage Village with his young grandson.

For ordinary people, this journey was long and arduous.

But no matter how difficult the road ahead, Karo was determined.

"Grandpa, why are we traveling so far just to give a gift to someone we don't even know?"

His grandson, Kaka, had once asked.

And Karo had answered,

"He is no ordinary person. He's our leader, the god who brought us hope!

The blessings he's given us are priceless, a debt we can never truly repay. So, we must offer him the most precious thing we have to show our gratitude.

"Kaka, remember this: A person who brings hope to others and helps them realize their dreams is a god."

With that belief firmly in their hearts, the two of them endured the long journey and finally arrived at Hidden Sage Village.

Though they had seen countless bustling cities along the way, both Karo and Kaka were still stunned by the sight of Hidden Sage Village when it came into view.

"This… this is the most beautiful place in the entire world. It's where the future lies,"

Karo murmured to himself. Then, taking a deep breath, he led the wide-eyed Kaka into Hidden Sage Village.

Upon entering Hidden Sage Village, both Karo and Kaka felt another wave of shock ripple through their hearts.

This place far exceeded anything they had ever imagined, it truly lived up to its reputation as the place where the future resides.

In a place like this, the two of them couldn't help but feel a deep sense of inferiority. They even avoided making eye contact with others, fearing they might catch disdainful glances.

But to their surprise, the villagers' gazes held no such contempt. Instead, they were met with nothing but respectful, level glances.

What's more, they soon realized they weren't as conspicuous as they had feared, which allowed them both to breathe a sigh of relief.

Relaxing a bit, they began to take a proper look around Hidden Sage Village.

As they did, they noticed many people just like them, ordinary folk from all walks of life.

These people, too, seemed out of place in such a magnificent village, and they were curiously observing their surroundings.

Many of them carried large backpacks, and some even lugged along pots and pans.

This told Karo everything he needed to know: these people, like him, had come from far and wide, all gathering here for the same reason, to offer their gifts to the Sage.

"Fellow travelers from afar! If you need a place to stay, please follow me!"

Suddenly, a young voice called out, drawing Karo's attention.

He looked over and saw a teenage boy waving a small flag, calling out to the crowd with a bright, cheerful voice.

Karo, with Kaka in tow, walked over to the boy.

Seeing them approach, the boy greeted them warmly. "Grandpa, do you need a place to stay? Please wait here for a moment; we'll be leaving in ten minutes."

The boy's words left Karo slightly confused.

"Young man, how much does a place at your inn cost?"

Karo asked, assuming the boy worked for some local inn.

The boy blinked in surprise, then chuckled as he quickly explained,

"There's no charge at all... Oh, but let me ask first, Grandpa, what brings you to Hidden Sage Village?"

"Of course, we've come to present our gifts to Lord Sage!"

Karo replied without hesitation, making the boy break into a wide grin.

"That's perfect then! So many people from all over the world have come to Hidden Sage Village to offer gifts that every inn in the village is completely full. There's not a single room left.

But Lord Sage, understanding how far everyone has traveled, issued a special order to have many houses built so that people can stay for free."

The boy pointed to the small flag in his hand.

"We volunteers are here to help guide everyone to those houses!"

The boy's explanation warmed the hearts of everyone around.

Many people had already moved into these new houses, and now it was Karo and the others' turn to follow.

Hearing this, the crowd felt both surprised and deeply touched.

"Lord Sage even thought of people like us… This is just… so moving!"

One man couldn't hold back his emotions, his voice trembling as tears welled up in his eyes.

Clearly, he was someone easily stirred by gratitude.

Karo felt a surge of emotion in his heart as well, and soon he and a few others followed the young volunteer toward their lodging.

Before long, they arrived at a massive camp.

There, rows upon rows of wooden houses stretched out before them. Though the houses weren't large, they were exquisitely built. The wooden walls were adorned with patches of green plants, giving the whole area a vibrant, lively atmosphere.

"Grandpa Karo, this will be your place to stay!"

The young volunteer announced cheerfully as he pushed open the door.

Karo stepped inside and saw not only spacious wooden beds but also seamlessly crafted tables and chairs.

"Oh, do you need any bedding?"

The young volunteer asked.

Karo quickly waved his hands. "No, no, that won't be necessary. We brought our own!"

He felt embarrassed to trouble the village further, even though the quilt he carried was old and tattered.

"Ah, you should still take one! The village prepared plenty, and it'd be a waste not to use them."

The young volunteer insisted with a smile and led Karo to another area where they collected a thick, warm quilt.

Back in their lodging, Karo laid out the quilt and sat on the bed, gazing around at the finely crafted wooden house.

He couldn't help but sigh deeply from his heart.

It felt as though he owed the Sage even more now.
