Tank rotated his head from side to side as he tried to work out the knot that had been there since his little Lamb had disappeared. He stared at the abandoned mall and the fires that were lit throughout the hallways.
Even from this distance, he could see the over a hundred people huddling around the small fires, trying to get warm as they scrapped together all the food they had.
He assumed that at one point in time, a scene like this would have made him feel pity, but right now, he just felt nothing. Odds were good that someone in this compound wouldn't hesitate to kill his little Lamb for an extra helping at dinner.
And that was a chance he just wasn't willing to take.
Looking up at the sky, he watched as the sun slowly sunk over the horizon. The sounds of zombies coming out to play was like music to his ears. He learned quickly that they avoided him like the plague… if zombies could get the plague, and he used that to herd them in the direction he wanted them to go.
