Chapter 54
The lady guard sat at her post, finally feeling at peace after successfully banishing thoughts of Rhianna from her mind.
"Rina!"
She turned at the sound of her name and saw a fellow guard walking toward her.
"What's up?" she asked calmly, waiting for his response.
"You've been summoned by the king. I was told to take over your post," the man said.
"Me? Why?" Rina asked, a sense of unease creeping over her.
"I don't know. He's the king, remember," the man said lazily, moving to take her position.
Rina muttered under her breath, "I hope this is nothing serious." For some reason she couldn't explain, she had a bad feeling about this summons.
In about five minutes, she stood at the door of the throne room. Taking a deep breath, she stepped into the meticulously cleaned space, the scent of daisies lingering in the air. At each corner of the room stood a beautifully decorated flowerpot with freshly picked daisies arranged neatly.
